I have a Third Party 18w USB C (and USB A) plug and a 30w one as well. Im going to test the charge rate on both using that app after work. Ill get bak to this with my findings. if the numbers don't get close to 15w I may try getting an official 20w plug to do the test with as well.

Thanks dude how does it work? Downloaded do you have to leave the app open when charging
The app is estimating effect based on the difference in reported charge level over time. It isn’t actually measuring voltage and current, which it has no way of doing. It could be accurate, but it may not be, at least not all the time.

apples website specifically states a 20w charger or higher is needed for fast charging the iphone 12 series https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT208137#:~:text=Fast charging works when you use an Apple, power adapter that supports USB Power Delivery (USB-PD)

Also this video explains why
So you can’t even fast charge wired a 12 now with an 18W Apple charger, and have to buy an Apple 20W?

**edit** Apple states 18W upwards allows fast charging wired
