Yep. Noticed it years ago with my first Samsung phone, that's why I didn't want apple to move it. I've got 2 hands. One to hold the phone and one to use for the power button

I am apt to do the opposite. I want to raise or lower the volume and turn off the phone.

That's what I keep doing. Very annoying.
I don't get why people are accidentally pressing the LEFT side when we're used to pressing on the RIGHT side on the top. The new placement is still on the right side.

We're not trying to press the wrong side, we're using the opposite side as leverage. I hold both sides, so it actually presses the button, rather than moving the phone.

I got used to not pressing the top fairly quickly. But I do press the volume button when pressing the power button. I press the power button with my thumb in a grip so my index finger presses the volume down button. But, I'm quickly getting used to it and I'm doing it less frequently now :)

Doing it all the time. Actually I wished they lowered it to the middle of the phone. Matter of getting used to it but even after three days its a hassle.

Yes, yes, yes! I wish they would have just kept that button on the top. When I'm holding the phone with my left hand, if I press the lock button my thumb naturally wants to press the volume buttons. It seems to not be a problem if I'm holding it with my right hand, but I prefer to hold it with my left hand.

Hopefully it will just take some getting used to. Right now it's frustrating though.

When taking pictures in landscape mode, I use the volume keys. Yesterday, I pushed the power button at the same time for about half of my attempts.

I guess I'll have to get used to it!

Yep, me too. Just a reflex reaction to use my index finger to hit the lock button. How i hold my phone differently it'll take a little while to readjust, it's not a "design flaw" or "a problem" it's just human nature.

Give it two weeks. None of you will complain about this anymore. The sleep button on top of a 4.7 inch phone would be a huge design flaw.

Yeah, this was a poor decision that made sense in theory but doesn't hold out in practice. The buttons are stiff to press so you try to counter the force with your other fingers naturally but the volume controls sit where those fingers go. The top placement would still have worked fine.

Too much time playing with watches and not enough spent on the main product it seems... Just poor ergonomics and lack of in-use development.

Stiff buttons don't feel very premium either. I like a soft, springy button.

Yes, I hate the side location on the 6.

I'm always reaching on top to press it.

Yes, it's the one complaint I have about my new 6.

I'm left handed, which makes it even worse. Seriously, try holding it in your left hand and pressing the sleep button without also pressing the volume buttons, it's night on impossible. :(

Both my wife and I are constantly doing this. The other thing I noticed I keep pressing the sleep wake button when taking landscape photos and it's driving me INSANE.

also. Apple finally adds timers to the camera and now the 6 doesn't stand up right on its own. God dammit
