Do you buy music from iTunes?

I buy music from iTunes and Amazon. If Amazon is cheaper they get my sale, if they are the same price iTunes gets the sale. Amazon has been running great monthly deals for $5 albums so that I've been picking up random things I'm missing.

I have a stack of CDs in the basement and don't ever want to deal with physical media again. I think I've put a CD in my car twice in almost 5 years and my next head unit will not have a CD player.

I honestly thought I'd never see a person on this particular forum that uses both iTunes AND Zune. How does that work out for you?

The Zune pass is supposed to be really good. I have friends who won't use anything else because it makes it so easy to try music and you get monthly song credits to buy with. It does sound like they made some recent changes that made it not as good, but they still seem to like it.

I too prefer the CD, but if I only want one song I look to Amazon first, then iTunes. I prefer to have MP3 format songs. Sometimes either Amazon or iTunes has an exclusive bonus track to a CD I've already bought, so I grab that too.

Most of the time I buy used CDs from sellers on Amazon. Some CDs can be had for as little as $2.99 including shipping. I also use eMusic to discover new music.

It's not as simple as "do you use iTunes or not?" There are too many outlets to use any one exclusively.

I wish there was a place where you could buy music by the song in full CD quality.

With today's storage capacities and quick downloads it shouldn't be problem to establish such a store.

That's why I buy some of my music from HDTracks, they sell some in FLAC format - they don't have a huge selection of the most popular stuff, but they have a good selection of indie type stuff.

I buy music from iTunes occasionally. When I do, however, I just buy gift cards in the store, so I don't end up going crazy and all that good stuff. The only music I buy from iTunes is usually stuff you can't find anywhere else. The musicians people have never heard of before haha

I listen to Rock from the late 60's to now. iTunes is simply not an option, very limited selection, incomplete albums.

40,828 songs, all ripped in AAC lossless & fed to the Carver/Magnepan a/v system via TV.

I buy from Bandit. I used to use iTunes a lot but I've decided to no longer support Apple as I don't agree with the direction that the company is going. However, I don't want to get too far off-topic! I also buy CDs if they're cheap enough.

usually from iTunes. I find that songs that I want are the same price on iTunes as they are on Amazon so I just use iTunes. I mostly buy individual songs but occasionally buy the whole album.

I usually download music from links on YouTube videos or The Pirate Bay, and if I support them enough not to illegally download their music, I put a hold to the library's CD and rip them once I get them(it's legal in Canada). It's been a long time since I bought something from iTunes, but I mainly use iTunes for individual songs and buying albums for artist that I'm a fan of but not enough fan to spend the extra bucks to buy the CD. The last resort, buying the CD from hmv or other retailers.

I'd definitely buy music from sites that offer FLAC/lossless, but there's none in Canada.

My entire iTunes collection comes from my extensive vinyl and CD library. IMHO, anything from the itunes store is of inferior quality.

no since the itunes songs are in 256kbps and i prefer 320kbps. i buy cd's.

Mostly CDs or ripped from my old vinyl collection. Occasional Amazon or less likely iTunes when I'm only interested in one song.
