Do you buy off of eBay?

I bought a car off E-Bay and it went OK. I will soon be looking for an old Mercedes, and will use it as a source.

I also have a brand-new Nikonos V underwater camera I was going to sell there. However, I did not trust anyone to pay me, and did not expect them to trust me either.

Bottomline, I would use it to find a source, or perhaps get current market value. However, there are too many predators out there.

I have purchased a few things: digital camera and gamecube accessories due to reduced cost but it will never be something I would use a lot. I don't tend to trust people.

I buy small items, and sell once in a while... prefer to get items elsewhere, because you never know what your REALLY getting on ebay.. I once bought a vacuum cleaner on ebay and it was all rusted on the bottom and the cord was cracked:eek:

I have bought many things on ebay.

Normally if i just have extra money and nothing to spend it on I turn to ebay.

And thats not always a good thing.

:D

Books, books and more books.

You can get pretty good deals on some auctions.

I use JBidWatcher… I set up the spending limits and the software does all the last second sniping.

I buy stuff now and again. Selling is a pain though. Last couple of things I've tried to sell I've had scam bids put in from users who've had their accounts hacked into.

My Dad's sold his cars/scooters on Ebay before. Sold an Ford Xr something or other, and sold an MG. Me? Bought a Master System I think.

Yes i bought an item from eBay from late '05 .. it was my 1st Mac, now i'm on the 3rd Mac ..

I went from iMac AIO G3 slot-load then a PM Gigabit Ethernet Tower, now i got an Intel Mac mini 1.66 Ghz/512MB of Ram/80GB hdd

The AIO unit is the one i bought from eBay ..

The tower i bought from 1 of my customers @ work  :D

And the mini i bought from Work but i got an excellent deal on the unit :D

And i use 2 of 3 on a daily basis

I scored a great deal on a new ride cymbal that normally costs 320$. I got it for 220 off brand new, but that is the only time i've used ebay. I am more of a craigslist person.

I buy and sell occassionaly. I have bought some games, hard to find books, and some computer parts. I've seen some stuff goes for ridiculous prices tho. I'm usually looking for something specific, so I research and have my maximum limit that I'm willing to pay. I still haven't mastered selling outside of U.S. but am working on it...

I've only bought once so far off of eBay, a discontinued Paiste Signature Dry Dark 20'' Ride that was lightly used... You can get great deals on stuff especially musical equipment if you know how to shop, but regardless I would never buy electronics off it.

When did you purchase that cymbal? Because I bid on that exact cymbal, but then decided to go with the 21" HH Daw Bell Dry Ride by Sabian instead. :D
