If you can't live without it take it with you is what they taught me in school, so my iPad stays with me 80% of the time.

I us it for everything but post production and image toning.

I have an iPad 3G with Unlimited Data Plan, so it goes with me everywhere I go.
I have a small case with a shoulder strap to carry it with tools and other stuff I carry around when working on the field.
For personal use, I also carry it around by itself (Apple iPad Case), or inside my briefcase.

I don't have an iPhone yet (thanks to AT&T), but even if I get it, I think the iPad will still be my primary source of internet access. I would keep my iPhone with minimal Data service.

Wi-fi only and I carry it around with me. I work as a caretaker ( janitor to you colonials:p) in a school and it gives me instant access to emails sent regarding issues around the school.

It is my own pad and ,until recently when 6 new pads were taken on stock for trials , one of only two regularly seen around the school the other being the management disciplinary call out one. It has proved very useful but I think it is vastly under utilised, however I am finding more reasons to use it.

I started using it about 3 days after I go it and about 3 days after that the screen was cracked when a child threw open a door whilst running and cough the edge of the pad.

Goes everywhere with me, use it for everything, work, pleasure ... I'm hooked. :)

To those that carry their iPad everywhere what do you carry it in?

I'm thinking of trying out the new Cadet bag made by Tom Bihn for a daily carry bag ... it doesn't look like a purse as many iPad bags do.

I use one of these, best $2 i ever spent on Amazon.

I have a Zaggmate keyboard too, but i never fold it in the zaggmate as intended, usually just thrown in my backpack beside the keyboard. I DO NOT know how anyone can maneuver an ipad without a silicon (or other rubbery) case/skin, the weight makes it just too slippery in the hand i think. Slides off your lap, or anything else. I would've destroyed mine by now without a grippy skin on it.

I carry it around with me at work almost all day. I almost exclusively use it at home instead of my Macbook Air. It is so convenient to use to surf internet, playing games, editing movies, using productivitiy apps.

I would like to be able to take it more places (i.e. work). The problem is, when I do bring it out it's difficult for me to use it because everyone else wants to "play with it." Often I'll bring it, but it'll stay in my drawer for this reason. Also, one time a coworker walked by and started using it while keys were in her hand, causing the keys to make contact with the screen <eek>.

I carry it fairly often. It's WiFi only, at work we have WiFi if I need to look anything up (I work in Law Enforcement, and most of the state and vehicle laws I have downloaded onto my iPhone and iPad, but local ordinances and such may require a quick lookup rather than trying to find someone who's delt with it before). I wish there were more Law Enforcement based apps though.

(Perhaps I need a bigger purse)
:p My wife has a purse that she uses to occasionally carry around her precious. Funny thing is, she didn't buy the purse for that purpose. It's just a cool purse that's large enough to hold an iPad.

My iPhone is always with me and my iPad is almost always with me. I've tried experimenting and trying to get by with just my iPhone, but its battery life sucks (compared to the iPad) and it just doesn't do a good enough job on the key tasks I use my iPad for. My iPad has become my primary reader, digital or otherwise, and I have all the key files/info for business and personal purposes stored in the cloud in a combination of Evernote, iCloud and Dropbox (moreso the first two than the latter), all easily accessible from my iPad. The iPad also acts as my digital entertainment device on the go, as well as my digital photo album. The only other thing I would ask for at this point is full MS Office compatibility. Give me that and I'm happy as a clam. All the other bells and whistles would just be gravy.

I enjoy connecting my iPad to my telescope using an app called SkySafari and the app maker's wireless SkyFi module. The larger screen and longer battery life of the iPad versus the iPhone really make it worth taking with us. Other than that, and some special events, my iPad usually stays at home.

My iPad serves as two purpose
- A cartoon and songs media device for my little girl
- Web, email and Google docs for my business

Still like the idea if I can plug my iPad to a somewhat keyboard to make it a Netbook in case I need to type a lot. Then I will be happy

Mine goes in my bag, so I do take it to work everyday. I don't carry it around everywhere once at work, but I do take it so certain meetings (to take notes, sometimes if the meeting doesn't really pertain to me, to browse the web). I also use it if I've got some downtime, and I do a disproportionate amount of email on it (even when I have a perfectly good computer to use nearby).

At home, I use it to read books, magazines, blogs, etc.

There is a portable keyboard for it! My aunt has one for hers because she finds it easier to type on that than the online screen.

I always have it within reach. Whenever I get bored I can just grab it and surf the web or whatever I have in mind. Also makes a good reference tool for when I'm watching an old show with my parents and want info on a particular actor or episode.

I take my iPad with me everywhere, both at home and at work.

I use it to check e-mails, browse the web, read books (both personal -- books and textbooks -- and work -- Cisco Press books, etc.), take notes (especially with the bluetooth keyboard), home theater remote control, and all sorts of other things (too many to list).

I find it much more portable to take to meetings. Quicker to get going while at a meeting, waiting in line at a store, or while eating lunch. I could never go back to using my laptop like I do my iPad.

I have two bags that I use -- one brown and one grey/black. Each can carry my iPad, keyboard, small notebook, camera, wallet, a few pens and stylus, microfiber cloth, business card holder, and probably a few more things. I am not necessarily a super heavy user, but my iPad gets used on average 8-10 hours a day for something.
