Hello everyone! And Happy (late) Thanksgiving!

I have an iPad 2. The nearly 10" screen is priceless for me around home. After taking a trip to the local Apple Store today and seeing the (beautiful) iPad Air AND iPad mini, while holding the mini I thought "this thing is small enough that I'd carry it everywhere!" Then it made me think about my iPad use. I use mine around the house 90% of the time. I carry it on vacations with me for my travel computer. It's also wonderful for camping and hiking because I enjoy using it for music. Aside from that, it stays at home.

Does your iPad (any size) leave the house often?
 
Hardly ever leaves the house unless I go on a road trip or fly somewhere. I use my s4 once I leave the house.

Ahh. I was grandfathered into unlimited data until I got the iPhone 5. I figured it was the jump from 3G to LTE that gave them "reason" to change on me. Orrr... That's just Verizon for ya. :rolleyes:
 
My iPad 4 never left the house, but my Mini did. I bought an Air on launch day, and take it with me quite a bit. I bought a Retina Mini a few days ago, and carry that everywhere. The Air is much more portable than the older iPads, but the Mini will fit in my pants pocket.
 
I've had iPads 1-3, mini, and now the Air. With every single one, I've used the iPad on my commute to work on bus or subway, almost every day. Also, most weekends, and on evenings when I go out, I usually bring the iPad with me. Living in NYC, I go everywhere by public transit, and the iPad is great for reading while on trains and buses, looking up maps, checking prices while shopping, etc.
 
With iPads 1-3 they never left the house or hotel room, etc. The iPad mini 1-2 go with me to work or whenever I go out alone. It's just rude to use an iPad out with another person.
 
Yes why else buy an LTE ipad if I left it at home. It helps me not use the battery on my iphone if I bring the ipad. I know first world problems.

I wish I could say the same about my iPad 2! It isn't following me anywhere, it's me dragging it! :p

I'm kidding. It's funny how we consider the iPad 2 heavy when it was the "lightest computer ever" two years ago.
 
My Air goes everywhere that I go for extended periods of time. Bring mine to work every day.
 
When I travel on business ( a couple of times a month ) the iPad goes with me. I use it on the plane, in the hotel, in the car for maps (as a passenger) and in front of customers to give presentations.

At home I'll take it with me if I know I'll have some downtime such as when the car is being serviced.
