I think you might be overthinking a little bit too much, unless you plan to keep your iPhone more than 3-4 years.
It is not going to stress with temperature enough to accelerate life of battery or component enough to have effect within 3-4 years.
I keep my iPhone 2 years most, it is probably not something I have to worry about for the iPhones I own.

I am a product test engineer, dealing with 2-corners, 4-corners test daily. If you understand what I said you will understand what I mean.

I charge my 6s in a lifeproof fre power battery case. I never take my case off cause it would be a pain to keep doing that every single time. Never had any problems with anything aside from the phone occasionally just getting a little warm.

It is generally not recommended to charge a phone for longer periods of time with certain cases because of the heat that is bad for the battery. I just got an Apple Silicone case for my 6S, so I was wondering should I take it off before charging during the night?

I know this is one of those topcis where everyone has their own opinion and that there are people who just don't think about it and there are people who pay attention to everything, but still, reading other people's thoughts helps. Thx.

Take off the case to charge the phone? Are you for real? And you would have to do this either every day or every other day.

You're nuts if you're taking yours out every time..

I have my 6s in a case. And when I need to charge it, the phone is in the case. Case closed.

Hi there, I just want to know has your case had any charging problems? Many said that the case stopped functioning after a month or so. I want to get one but I'm too worried that it might not be reliable. Since you've have had experience using this case, how is it? Has the charging have had any obstructions? Thanks

i would think that the vast majority of people put on the case and never take if off... for months if not longer.

Warning: Old Thread alert!:D

I use a case and the small block Apple charger that came with it and charge at night while sleeping. I have never seen my phone get just slightly warm while charging and do not believe this will harm the battery. It has not is years anyway.

Even if you are quick charging the battery temp will cause the phone to slow the charge rate down to protect itself.

It IS a good idea to remove your case every month to clean out any debris that has worked it's way in between the case and phone as this debris WILL scuff the phone surfaces.

If I'm in a hurry and want to charge it really fast, I take the case off.

If I'm a big hurry, I also turn on airplane mode, low power mode, and prop the phone up for air flow.
