Yeah I like it but I don't see why you'd ever feel any special feelings towards a cable. Maybe the people who do are the ones who buy Monster cables for their TV

I'm curious why knock offs can't be easily made? Is each cable specific to each individual phone or something? Is there a little chip in there?
This is the kind of thread that makes Apple users look slightly messed up in the head to an outside observer...seriously, its a cable.
The 30 pin connector worked for many years, don't know why you seem so anti 30 pin. The 30 pin connector on my 4S feels like its latched on and tight, probably not the case with the lightning cable.
I have no problem with the new cable. Digital was the way to go and the old cable was way to large for what it did. Any changes freak Apple owners out but they will get used to it. The idea of a 4" phone drove some to insanity and yet now they pick up their old 4S and wonder how they used that "stubby brick". LOL!

not really, I'm just a little more careful with it because $30 these days isn't easy to come by near instantly. It's cool and all but no cause for coveting it.
if apple all of a sudden improves battery life x3 with this new cable then I'll be happy, until now i don't really care.
If you mean that there are over 5 million people using it on their iPhone 5's, iPod touch 5th gen, iPad mini and iPad 4th gen.
Then yes it's very exclusive
