Do you covet your lightning cable?

I suppose the commandment "Thou shall not covet thy neighbor's wife" has assumed you have already kidnapped your neighbor's wife.

But, I would prefer a 6' cable. I have 2 aftermarket ones for the 30pin, and they are so handy. Great for nightstand/in bed usage.

I love that it is a real chunk of metal instead of some crappy folded sheet metal stock - which is pretty much everything else. Plus, what it replaced was one of the most vulnerable connectors ever...made me cringe to think of pressure being applied to it up and down.

I'd really like it if new Macs came with FEMALE lightning connectors - then you could have a truly awesome charge cable with no USB crap...and using less room.

They can't easily make knock offs anymore.

Makes me feel like I have a pretty exclusive cable with a special chip and all!

I'm curious why knock offs can't be easily made? Is each cable specific to each individual phone or something? Is there a little chip in there?

The 30 pin connector worked for many years, don't know why you seem so anti 30 pin. The 30 pin connector on my 4S feels like its latched on and tight, probably not the case with the lightning cable.

I have no problem with the new cable. Digital was the way to go and the old cable was way to large for what it did. Any changes freak Apple owners out but they will get used to it. The idea of a 4" phone drove some to insanity and yet now they pick up their old 4S and wonder how they used that "stubby brick". LOL😛!

I say bring us out a iPhone with a wider screen next time, let them freak out!😱

If you mean that there are over 5 million people using it on their iPhone 5's, iPod touch 5th gen, iPad mini and iPad 4th gen.
