Do you engrave your iPods/iPads?

I had my iPod classic engraved.

"If music be the food of love, play on" Not original I know, but I like it.

I wouldn't engrave any other Apple product.

I don't engrave simply because I hand down my iPods to my family. And it really isn't necessary to engrave an iPod or an iPad in the first place.

Why would I? Engraving an Apple product is one of those things they "just did" because they know people are going to do it.

People do it, end up thinking it's "cool" for a month, then hate it when they realize they can't ever sell the thing, and it ends up just pushed in a drawer and left there.

Apple knows that people who engrave cannot sell the device; cannot meaning they have an extremely low chance to, so it serves as a detriment to the 2nd hand market, which Apple loves as well.

If you wanted to sell your iPad/iPod in the future, I think it would turn off a lot of potential buyers, including me. This is why I would never engrave them..
