if the envy had solid build quality, better battery life, and snow leopard compatible with those specs then heck yea i'd get it over a mbp :D

Okay. ZR1 vs. 911 Turbo. Porsche still wins with overall experience. ZR1 may be fast as hell in a straight line but that's about all it has going for it. The cabin is low rent for the price and the handling isn't up to par with other exotics. The Porsche handles in the corners as well as the straights and the cabin is quite comfy and luxurious. I am a Bimmer fan but the Porsche is the better overall car than the ZR1.
