I use the apple headphones and they sound great to me. I also use it while I'm on the phone talking and I have not had a problem yet.

I have over ear beats for when listening to music at home, or when I want better quality, I use my Apple earphones when exercising/going to school and need the portability.

This is the exact same as me. The Apple earphones are much better for the gym to me then over ear headphones.

Am I the only one then? I think Apple's headphones are one of the best I've used. I have a bunch of earbuds; Beats in-ear that cost $180 = Worthless. I have some Klipsh buds that cost $100 and it doesn't compare to the stock iPhone earphones in sound quality.

The only ones which actually beat the Apple headphones are the Ludacris Soul earphones IMO. But they're too big for my taste.

They're free and i don't want to buy other headphones because they're so expensive and i don't need them that much. I just wish they gave them for free with the iPad too. :(

Might seem this way, but than again this is a forum, with people of whom some like the best of the best so you are probably not alone just here on the forum you are :p

Just wondering what are you listening to? Because personally i use some denon headphones, mainly because they have a more comfortable fit but also because the basic earphones leaked sound through or didn't have enough bass.. so just wondering if there is maybe a genre i missed or something

Only Apple could get away with including such dreadful ear buds with wonderful premium product as iPods & iPhones.

It's completely contrary to all Apple stands for. They're also physical proof of Apples hypocrisy.

I give mine away the moment I buy any new Apple device that includes them.

The worst ergonomic disaster included with the finest product.

That's Apples hypocrisy & in your face attitude for you :)

It's a good thing they include crap/cheap headphones.

Some people don't care about sound quality, so why they should pay extra?

Others care and spend over 3-4k on custom IEMs, DACs and amps for their iphone. They couldn't care less if apple bundled a decent set of headphones that would double the price you pay for the device. They already have the good stuff.
;)

The Apple ear buds won't stay in my ears, and IMNSHO the sound they produce is quite mediocre. I travel quite a bit for work, and after listening to number of ear buds I ended up with a pair of Sennheiser MM70i. They do a good job on planes.

I have the Klipsch Image S4i headset. Superb sound quality, excellent ear fit (especially if you use the Comply Foam Tx-100 ear tips), and very good efficiency (no need to crank up the volume level way up there for decent volume level). And of course, it'll likely be compatible with the next iPhone when that comes out. :)

Happy with my Klipsch Image S4i as well
Had a pair of Bose MEI2 that just stopped working

It's this kind of attitude that Apple counts on. Their own group of excuse makers. Apple is beyond criticism, relieved from the responsibility of doing the right thing and including a decent set of ear buds.

They haven't fostered a cult like following without being smarter than the average customer. I admire their ability to extract every penny from each sale.

I use a pair of Jays in-ear earphones. If this leak is legit, I'll give them a shot when I get the new iPhone. But if they're anything like what Apple are bundling currently with the iPhone then I'm not expecting much.

The stock Apple headphones sound horrible, hurt your ears, don't stay in and are probably the lowest quality headphones around. Then again they are free but I don't understand at this day and age why Apple is including earbuds instead of in ear noise isolating headphones like the other manufacturers are doing. This is just another thing Apple needs to catch up on.

I use V Moda Vibe Duo and have never even taken the stock earbuds out of their wrappers.

The Apple ear buds are huge, and I have small ears. Using them is a physical impossibility. They fall out if I even try.

The stock ones are back up for me. I don't use an iPhone now but have a spare pair of the apple earbuds as backup anyways. The sound is quite inferior compared to the $15 panasonic ones i got from walmart, and from experience they tend to die sooner too. So these are for "just in case".

I don't care much for the inline controls though. I would prefer play/pause and forward/rewind controls on the actual phone body. Something i loved on my nokia phones. Much better than fiddling with a earbud cord.

The "cheap" headphones shipped with all my old nokia, BB and samsung phones have been much better than the apple earbuds. There is no excuse. This sounds a lot like a fanboy excuse.

I use Apple's headphones because they were included with my iPhone and I don't listen to music very often on my phone.

My mom bought me a nice pair of Klipsch headphones. For the price they're pretty good. Definitely better sound than Apple (and I'm not an audiofile but still tellable. But I can't tell you how good they are compared to what audiofiles would consider good) and they do a better job of muffling outside noises. And they are durable, I've had them for 2 years now and I've dragged them under a door (They fell and got trapped under a door) and shut stuff on them. So I'm pretty happy.

I also use my apple headphones as a backup (basically I stick them in my purse and tend to use them when I'm closing at work and there are no customers. But also just in case for some reason I want to listen to music and can't have the speaker on). I don't really mind them that much and they don't hurt my ears, I just like my Klipsch better (as I said, I'm not picky about my audio so the fact I can tell a difference should say something about the level of how much better the Klipsch are).

I use Apple's headphones everyday. I'm not some crazy audiophile and I like the portability and remote of the headphones

I have Apple Headphones and Beats Solo HD.

I use APple headphones for their size - good enough for listening to TV shows and stuff like that where audio quality isn't crucial.

However, I use my beats when I have a long iTunes session.
