I'm still using the apple headphones off and on mainly because no one can make a good pair of Bluetooth headphones

Check out the Sennheiser PXC and MM line up of headphones, excellent Bluetooth headphones. And the new Parrot Zik's are supposedly pretty good aswell :)

Only Apple could get away with including such dreadful ear buds with wonderful premium product as iPods & iPhones.

Actually, Apple earbuds are some of the best on the market. You have to remember that these are earbuds and not in-ears, so the shape and how they sit in your ear affect the sounds quality quite a lot. There are some other companies which produce earbuds aswell, but people who compared them came to the conclusion that the Apple Earbuds sounded the best.

Monster Turbines 'in ear' are my choice right now.

Etymotic ER-4P. I've tried a few including multi driver ones and have decided that I won't find anything that suits me better. I used to use the somewhat less resolving, cheaper and more ergonomic Etymotic ER-6i, but unfortunately these were discontinued.

+1

I went straight from the Apple headphones to my HF3 earbuds. Now everything else sound terrible.

I also tried Turbines and Beats earbuds from friends. The turbines are awesome, but all the beats stuff I've tried is.. meh. Not bad, but doesn't live up to the hype/price.

in-ear phones give me otitis externa, so it's old-fashioned over-ear phones for me!

Have a nice pair of Bose QC2s for air travel...

Only ever used Apple headphones when i got my first ever iPod ('05 i think) and after they broke i then got Sennheiser in-ear headphones and haven't looked back since.

In the years since then and up until now i am now on my third pair of Sennheisers (2 x CX300 ii & CX880), not bad going i think. Both of the headphones i got with the 4 & 4S are still in each box and thats where they'll stay.

Build is much better then Apple, sound quality is much better then Apple.

Let's face, Apple's earphones are cr*p. Their sound is OK, but they do not last. My family buys alternative headphones for their iDevices, and the threat I have for my kids is that if they break their good headphones, they get Apple's instead. To me that seems punishment enough.

I'm currently using JF3 Freedom, and I love 'em!
Of course, if Apple made a bluetooth earphone of their own, that's a totally different story :D

I use the same for running all the time! Love them.

Besides that I usually use the stock apple ones for phone use along with Bluetooth in the car.

I definitely recommend putting some foam pads on the Apple headphones.
Makes a massive difference to me.

Please try it for yourselves.

I use Apples headphones to control siri / phone calls etc but for music I use my B&O ones.

I really should part with some cash and get the B&O ones with the mic but my wife got me thess and don't have the heart to part with them.

Any and all Apple earbuds/earpods I've thrown in the trash without using them.

I have custom iems - also use high-end Sony, Klipsch and Sennheiser universals.

I use the newer ones, they feel tons better than the others. They have good sound, dont see the need to invest heavily at this point, however the Beats Headphones look and sound very nice.

I have a pair of standard Sony headphones I've used for years. Once those go, I'll see about using the ones that came with my 5.
