5+ hours in a day... I realize this doesn't reflect total time you were diddling with your phone, but do you ever feel a little sad checking those numbers, wondering if your battery is lasting enough for you to spend even more time on your phone?

    Serious question.

As an iPhone user since the 3G, I use my phone and get on with life. I don't obsess about battery usage/statistics unless my phone is clearly defective. Never had a phone that was as far as batteries go either.

    Use your phone, be happy.

11 hours is pretty impressive. What do you use your phone for?

Wow. 11 hours is pretty great usage.

Depression is anger turned inwards. I don't get depressed, I don't have any anger within me. Life is way too short to harbor anything that doesn't make you feel better. I'll always have access to a charger.

I've got a screen shot where I got 8 hrs 30 min of usage and 2 hours short of 3 days standby. Granted the phone wasn't actually activated as I spent a little time with the Moto Razr this last week or so. I have seen people put the Razr above the iPhone in top 5 phones. Simply put, it isn't better than the iPhone. Camera comparison isn't even fair lol

    Yeah, no.
    I have real worries.
    :)

And, I plug my phone in when I'm at work, or when I'm in the car. I use it for work, and can't allow it to die.

You really care about how long you have been using your phone? My god, I've got waaayyy better things to do than worry about how long I have been using my phone. I usually get on it, check my email and facebook and go on about my day....

If this is what you get concerned about, you need some hobbies or a real job.

    And here's a serious answer.

No I don't get depressed when I see my iPhone usage time.

    This depresses me…

People throw around words like depression far too lightly.

My battery has been dying so quickely lately. Before 5.0.1 my battery was fine.

    I am shocked.

USUALLY the image of some poor loser playing video games in the basement all day causes people to make fun of that person and say things like 'get a life' or 'get out and do something real.' And, you know, that translates to any computer activity...not just video games.

    But not in here.

Has the internet grown tired of that joke? We're now presented with people who claim to spend nearly 1/3 of the waking-hours in the day playing on a cell phone and not one of you feels fit to criticize or condemn that? I must say I'm impressed.

In fact, you're all encouraging it? Telling them that it's nothing to get worried about and that anyone who thinks about such things has a problem?

Wow. I really didn't expect that. I guess I don't have to hide my own shame anymore. It's kind of...freeing.

    Well...back to Angry Birds!

I rarely use 3G when using the internet & such, it is a huge battery drainer.

Just charged my 4S to 100% an hour and a half ago and..

Some light Facebook & Twitter on WiFi for a few minutes and some text messages.

Turned WiFi off when not in use & 3G off.

I actually took a picture to see if you all thought it was good usage or not.

I had absolutely no problems with this. I used my phone throughout the day and didn't limit my usage at all. Just saw it at 2% and what i thought was decent usage. So is it great? or just decent?

EDIT: Fixed, sorry about the huge picture before

If usage time on your phone equates to depression, you need more help than anyone on this site can give.
