Maybe AT&T will waive all $18 upgrade fees?

Apple will get $10 iTunes gift cards?
AT&T $10 store card?

What are your thoughts? no chance?
 
If anything, MAYBE an email that says, "We are sorry for the delay, but thank you for your business." LOL

No one owes you a thing. They're not depriving you of a product, and technically, as of yet, you haven't given them a dime since they won't charge your credit card until the phone ships.
 
The only people having problems right now are 'early adopters.' That customer group is in the bag. They will come back every year to upgrade regardless of the headaches (just like this year).

There is no financial incentive to change the process.
 
We got free health care, why not free iTunes gift cards and waived activation fees too!
 
We're going to be compensated by having an amazing device that's a work of art. Being able to pre-order the phone issue-free is not a right.

They gave you the OPTION. Key word there. OPTION. No one is forcing you to preorder. You do not have to preorder to get the iPhone. You have the OPTION to preorder. You took that option.
 
I don't think they should have to.
Only thing I'm mad about is that my dumb self stayed up all night trying to preorder.

And to continue this line of thinking... isn't it our fault the servers our down? ;)
 
OMG our society is filled with a bunch of Thin skinned entitlement people. It's a damn phone and technology is not always 100 percent. So if you got your phone ordered then what else is the matter?

Is it really important that someone takes "Blame". Why not spend your energy buying accessories for your new iP4 or something.
 
No reason we should get compensated for pre ordering but I am going to raise hell over upgrade fees AT&T charged after sending me a text saying they would be waived. Morons!

The OP never mentioned entitlement, he said "compensated", as in for extremely poor service.

Huge difference, I suggest you invest in a dictionary.

What a bastard he is for standing up for us!!

I would take a nice waiving of the $18 fee..would be kind of them considering signing the 2 year contract is enough of an upgrade fee.

I will get it waived through complaining regardless
