Slanted keys seem to be widespread. I'll settle for them since I got a 9c8c. Call it compromise...

In all honesty had I purchased in store, I would have got a perfect one. A it stands, having been notebookless for 2 months and as a student, I cannot wait another 3 weeks for a replacement. I accepted the money they offered for the inconvenience, with the option of getting the problem fixed while the laptop is still under warranty. If it bothers me so much in the future I will take it to be repared. Maybe when rev 2 comes out, in the hope the keys cannot be straightened and I'll need a replacement...

The problem is going away!

Most of my function keys were slanted - they were raised higher on the right-hand side, and seemed kind of a bit springier on that side.

I probably wouldn't have even noticed unless I'd read about it on here. You have to look from a very low angle to see it.

However, after using the keyboard for a couple of days, the keys seem to be gradually settling down flat! I don't know whether the screen is pushing them back down when the lid is closed, or whether using the keys is doing the job. Either way, the problem is definitely going away. However, even with the slanty keys, I'm very happy with the Macbook. Personally, I think some people are getting too worked up about a very minor problem.

That's lucky for you. Mine are still as slanty as the day they were born and I've been using my laptop now since the day they came out.

My first one did, but I returned it (due to dust under the glass, I could live with the slanted F keys). The new one is dust-free, and no slanted keys.

I'm not sure if any of the keys are slanted or not, I gave it a real hard look but I just cannot tell...

And I thought I have a bad case of OCD.

ME TOO, but actually, my F1-F12 keys might be a LITTLE slanted but it's really impossible to tell. Macs cause OCD, btw.

Are you regularly using the function keys that are slanted?

yes, especially the brightness keys and dashboard all the time and those ones in particular are no less slanty than the other slanty ones like the esc, expose, and backlight control keys.
