tried the hardshell on my ancient iPod Touch, got some dust underneath and it scratched like hell got the vinyl sticker on my iPad and it left marks nothing like this is touching my new MBA!

I bought a crystal hard shell to protect against scratches. I have no emotional attachment towards this laptop and will sell it in a few months to a year or if the price is right, so i need to make sure there are no scratches.

It didn't adversely effect it for me. You could always try it, and peel it off if you don't like it.
