I have a small line scratch, very faint at the top of my iPhone, it’s been there since out of the box, I always feel if you look hard enough you’ll find scuffs, even on a brand new iPhone.
This is fact for sure!
[doublepost=1553280448][/doublepost]I have a nude XS and no visible scratches on the screen or the back. Doesn't mean they aren't there, I just cant see any.

I use my iPhone’s on a daily basis one for work and the other for my personal use, and they seemed to have accumulated a thew scuffs on the screen and on the back, especially micro scratches. I was wondering if anyone else has scuffs and scratches on there iPhones and if so do they bother you?
The back of my XR is fine, but I have a ding around the edge and 2 scratches on the screen. That said I don’t use a case on my phone, rarely have I used a case since my iPhone 5 days and I’ve had every model since and have never cracked a screen. I’m not anal about my phone when it comes to scratches, because with as much as I use my phone and always having it in my bag, pocket etc, I know scratches and dings are bound to happen.

Actually, scratch/scuffs do annoy me. Fortunately I have not had that issue with my iPhone, and I don’t use a screen protector or a case. I’m just cautious how I handle it, and my number one rule, is I don’t set my phone down on a hard service unless something is soft underneath.
I'm careful as well, but stuff happens, unexpectedly. I do use a case and screen protector and have insurance..for when the unexpected becomes the reality.

No - I take care of my phones. I did get a tempered glass cover for the XR but I don't like it as it smudges more than without said cover.

I have cases for my phones, though. Also, using a mat for charging means that the bottom part of my phone I never need touch. Using a lightning connector will eventually result in scratches and scuffs in that part of the device.

My 7 is scratched to high hell, largely because of my occupation and not wanting to put it into some “tactical” case. Other than that it’s in great condition (no dings or internal damage).

I had it in a Apple silicone case, but the first layer of silicone kept wearing off so I went to a similar third party case for drop protection and haven’t had any issues.

If/when I upgrade I’ll handle the new device with kid gloves for as long as I can, but once I’m a few years in (as I am with the 7) my guess is it won’t be in pristine condition.

It doesn’t bother me at all.

During the first year on my 6s ownership, I was paranoid of any possible scratches.
Now in its 4th year, the minor scratches on it don't bother me anymore. I still keep it in a case so the overall body is quite clean. Scratches are only on the corners.

I have a crack on the side bezel near the quarter half of my XS Max. It’s about 1/8 of an inche. And it’s on the black part of the bezel. I got this 1 month ago when I dropped it face first on a brick wall way but now I’m ok with it. First week all I can do was look at it. Haha

I own a iPhone 7 matte black 128GB, it is used daily at home and work. Not a single scuff, scratch, or mark, all corners look clean and the device could pass for new.

No case, or screen protector is being used.

I never wipe the phone or screen with random fabrics or clothing.

Sounds too good to be true tbh. The Aluminum won't show scratches because of its nature unless they're very deep but I don't believe the display hasn't got any (micro)scratches that if not visible in normal conditions, would be visible under bright light.

I carry my gold XS Max caseless most of the time, and I don't use a screen protector, and I see no scratches or abrasions even when looking closely under bright light: there may be some micro scratches, but I can't see them. I use it heavily, and I carry it in the left front pants pocket or shirt pocket with nothing else in those pockets. I expect to see wear over time, but I've been fortunate.

Man I dropped my xs max phone a month ago face down. I never dropped it before, I’ve had it since September 2018 and I didn’t have a case. It hurt man $1350 ouch

I’ve got a small deep scratch in the Notch area, but it’s now hidden under the Tempered Glass screen protector, so I don’t see it

Other than that, nothing else, I keep it in an Apple Silicone case and have a screen protector on it, so I should be good.

I have dropped it quite a few times, one time I dropped it on it’s face and cracked the Screen Protector a week after getting it put on, LOL, so the screen protector did it’s job just fine and I just got it replaced same day for about ~$35 (converting South African Rands to Dollars), better than paying +$1300

Since phones became Glass sandwiches I have put on a case as the first precaution, but with the XS Max I also put in a screen protector after about a month of ownership.

Ya the crack is under the glass.
You can’t feel it.
I think if I had a screen protector it might have prevented the crack.

I’ve learned how to avoid them. I’ve checked in direct sunlight. I make it a point if I am gonna clean my phones display. I keep a clean microfiber in a bag at home, and one at work. I wipe the screen maybe once a day. If it has something on the screen leave it there until you can properly wipe the display.

It takes a conscious effort to maintain a scratch free phone.

A single wipe on your clothing or paper towel or just the wrong fabric can load a screen up with micro scratches before you even realize they’re there.

I have 2 young children so I’m not always in control of exactly how my phone is handled. As even though I might try and keep them away from it sometimes they find it. So I have to use a case and screen protector as like you I would be annoyed by scuffs and sratches.

Hahaha, I know exactly how you feel. I have a young boy who loves touching everything, so I have a screen protector and case on mine too. I used to be very OCD about my things, but having children somewhat balances that out and you stop caring so much. lol

My tempered glass screen protector has a cut out for the notch. Yes I think phones are much more fragile these days. Glad you were able to cover it up.

I think the max is fairly durable. I use a case and screen protector on mine but my kids have gotten hold of it a few times and thrown it down the stairs and it’s a perfectly fine.
