Do you have to book a Genius Bar appointment to get phone replaced?

You don't need an appointment because you're within your return window. They will probably have a genius take a quick look at it, but you won't have to wait on the regular Genius Bar line and they will exchange it regardless.

I do not understand that logic. You are there to deal with an issue. Inside or outside of return window should not have anything to do with it, right?
