Do you have two phones?

I appreciate the examples but to me a phone is something I need to carry at all times. Having 2 and leaving one at home would just get confusing IMO. I'm not criticising anybody for wanting 2 phones because that's their prerogative. I just have better things to spend my money on and very different interests, all said in a subjective manner. Plus there is no way my wife would allow me to have £1000 tied up in two devices that serve the same purpose lol :)

That's fair. You said you don't understand why a person would do this. I gave you an example, that's all. :)

Two phones but for different reasons ...

I have two phones, but for different reasons than mentioned here. I have an iPhone 5 and a cheap tracfone. I always want to have a phone on me but it isnt always practical to carry my iPhone. I take the tracfone when I fo fo walks (usually long and in the country) and for bikerides. The Tracfone is cheap, small, and very light. And if I break it I can get another fot ten dollars.

I have a Samsung Smiley for business calls that I don't want coming to my main line which is an iPhone 5.

I use a Nexus 4 as my daily and a 4S.

I have the same apps on both. I like that when I search for something using my Mac, it shows up on my Nexus and asks me if I want to continue the search.

I've also noticed when viewing my previous post that tapatalk 2 and Mac Rumors don't like the British Pound symbol. Perhaps if I was rocking a second phone on a different platform, I would have been able to find a way around this! lol.. Just kidding :)

I use a BB for work and an Android for personal use. I put my Android in airplane mode when at work. I turn off my BB when I leave work. I do on call work, so I do forward my BB to my Android on those days, so I don't have to carry two phones when I'm on call.

Yeah, I have a white iphone 5 I bought back in December. Then in March, my job gave us all black iphone 5's. Haven't decided which one to sell yet. Although my black iphone 5 is getting lots of marks on it.

I have iPhone 4S and Galaxy S3.

Same. In my case, I wanted the LTE, so I got the S3. My work doesn't allow cameraphones, so I got the camera disabled on the 4S, and now I use the S3 on some weekends and while traveling. I like both. It would be a really tough decision between the S4 Active and the iPhone 5 with Lifeproof if I had to decide one way or the other. Right now though, there's no Jailbreak out, so I couldn't get the iPhone 5.

Yes, I do ;-)

I have the iPhone 5. Before it came out I got a great offer on (at the time) latest BlackBerry, BB 9900.

I use my iPhone 5 as my main phone. the BlackBerry is my travel phone.

But I must say, the ergonomics of the BB is way superior to my "slippery" iPhone 5.

As much as I like the software of my iPhone - My BlackBerry is a phone, a real phone!

It lays naturally in my hand (good ergonomics) and I never (almost;-) push the wrong key. It is how a phone should feel in your hand.

My iPhone is slippery as hell! I've already lost it to 2 visits to a concrete floor... the forst time without protection - I was lucky, just a dent in the aluminium on the backside. The second time I had a simple case, but it fell face down...Still lucky though, another dent in the aluminium.

For me I now see the iPhone 5 in a new light.

It is a pretty handheld computer - But extremely impractical to hold!!

It looks great. But if you want to have a firm grip on your smartphone...

iPhone 5 is not what you should buy.

I am already looking at alternatives. And thankfully we have plenty!

Next time, I am gonna make sure the phone is easy to hold.

I can't for the life of me understand why anybody would have two phones unless one is business and the other personal, or if you needed one for the mistress and one for the wife :p

Seriously though, I would hate to have two pockets filled with a device that pretty much does the same as the additional device. I see having two phones is quite common here, but its not something I experience often amongst friends and colleagues.

Haha, I couldn't have said it any better myself.

When I was interested in Android, I bought a used HTC Incredible on eBay and just used it on wifi. It didn't do anything for me, so I eventually just sold it. The only time I truly had two phones was at my prior job when I had a Palm for work and a Razr as my personal phone. Unless my current position ever requires it, my iPhone is more than enough for me.
