Do you leave your wifi on always or turn it on/off as you need it?

I keep it on all the time, unless I run into a situation where the wifi signal is full but extremely slow. Then I turn it off and use 3G (which is reasonably fast in my area) until I am in a common area and want the wifi, then I turn it back on again and leave it on until I run into the above situation again.

A continuous cycle!

I turn everything off when I am not using it on my iPhone like push e-mail, bluetooth, wifi (3g and edge too with the help of BossPrefs), off e-mail accounts, and whatever else I missed and I just leave the brightness on the brightest since I love it bright although it uses the most battery power that is why I turn off all the other stuff.

When the iPhone3G first came out, there was a rumor that when it was on WiFi, you could not accept calls. That's why I always turn WiFi off. But, based on all of the responses on this thread, it sounds like that rumor was just a myth. Otherwise, there are two other concerns I have ... everytime you open your browser, don't you have to fill in all that "I accept your terms of service" crap for each different network? The second concern is security. Can't someone hack into your iPhone if you have WiFi always on?

3G drains your battery faster than having in on Wifi

An Apple employee told me the same thing; that 3G uses more battery than WiFi.
