I hear it's getting "stale" and it's time for a refresh, but I, at least personally, enjoy the simplicity of having a single button. While I do suppose more buttons on the front could make it easier navigating certain apps/functions (phone, "back", texts, etc), I like having a single button, just curious if anyone feels the same.

It's great!

I love how simple the home button is too. It isn't getting stale to me because if you press it 2 times it has a multi tasking menu that comes up on the newer Iphones, Ipods, and the Ipad. It's great. But I don't think that apple will really change it because they always try to make everything smaller, and more simple... and it seems to me that the home button is the most simple thing in the world.. Lol

I hope they don't get rid of it... but really... what would they replace it with?

I like but maybe they replace it a touch sensor sorta like the ps3 and new X360's

I love having a physical home button. Doesn't have to be on the front though, move it to the side or smaller. After playing with my dad's fascinate, I hate the touch navigation buttons. It does become a little cumbersome clicking the button away when switching apps too. Not sure what the answer is so any new innovation would be great.

I actually really like the idea of putting it on the side. Haven't thought about that.

Probably not a good idea when it's going to keep hitting your cheek while on a phone call. On another thought, the proximity sensor could be programmed to disable it but how would someone get to the home screen from a call?

This is one of those fake mock ups, but I think this would look pretty cool.

It's hard to believe a company like Apple would use such old tech as a mechanical button.

Especially since they are very critical and bash buttons such as those used on a BlackBerry physical keyboard. But then again, Apple's hypocrisy is quite commonplace.

A touch sensitive home button would be elegant & more like Apple likes to be perceived. It's this type of thing that proves how disjointed & odd Apple can be.

I like the home button. And I want apple to keep it in the next gen I-devices

I like it and hope they keep it. replacing it with a 5 finger gesture is just awkward, it would keep you from using it with 1 hand.

i like it for just going back to home screen. I hate it when I have to double tap, it feels too hard.. so I'm gonna love the swipe gestures.

Home button is awesome. Please don't leave, home button.
