Tenks, mang. :) It's from Skinomi, bought the full skin but only used the side wrap. Would normally use the backskin, too, but decided to think different and try a glass one to pay homage to the 4/4s. Front glass is another generic brand 0.2 2.5d edge screen protector.

According to the amaze folks discussing on iFixit, appears that everything seems to line up with the screw posts for the 5s/SE. They were going to verify, but I couldn't find an update. Mang. Here's a pic iFixit posted of the three, taken by Creative Electron:

I had a feeling I would probably feel the same. Could only imagine how the Rose Gold SE would look with polished edge.

Which brings me to an amazing story I had one day. I was just out and about a couple weekends ago, picking up a banana split at Sonic. I normally rest whatever iPhone I'm using on my passenger seat or cup-holder, and happened to be using my 5s that day. Suddenly, I glanced at my passenger side and noticed how the sides of my 5s, resting on top of my MacBook bag, were glistening against the pouring light, and it instantly struck a chord in my heart. I carelessly pulled out my 6s to take the photos below, and capture this shining moment.

See for your self

I'm wondering why we couldn't polish our own edges?

Sounds like some sort of dodgy phone porn!

Glistening against the pouring light??

Give us a break. It's a phone!

Just a phone? You happen to be browsing a forum that's just about a phone. Wink wink.

Bad idea, mi compadre, unless you wanted two-tone.

Yeah. Still have split blasts and molten cakes, but no classic banana split.

Here's two you, my friend.

Never actually realise the edges were different compared the 5/5S lol

Is the polished the same as the home button (shiny wise)?

Yes. And that's really my only complaint. They should have textured the home button so that it matched the same design feature which is such a prominent part of the look of the phone.

It's one thing to have a shiny Apple logo on the back, but it's another to treat the same feature differently a few cm apart.

to those who had the 5/5s and went with the se. Do u miss the polished chamfered edge compared to the matte on the se? I'm kinda wanting to get the se but I don't want to give up my 5s because it was the first gold iPhone and there's a history to it.
I think you should upgrade. They got rid of the chamfered edges because they scratched easily

I personally didn't care either way because I use a case that covers the edges, but the matte finish on the SE will definitely hold up better than the polished edges on the 5/5s.
