Do you prefer a white, or black bezel?

I've always had white iPhones and that's my preference. Looks very elegant and stands out more. I don't find the white border distracting at all; but then again, I don't watch movies on my iPhone, just short YouTube videos. I read in an article that the look of the white iPhone screams "Apple". I agree.

Yeah I agree with ya that the white iPhone does seem more "Apple", at least to me :) Personally, when I think of "iPhone" I think of a 4s (or any white bezel phone with a home button! Lol!) with a white bezel. But thats just me! lol!

No white iphone for me!

The few I have seen look NASTY or dirty.
I haven't come across that scenario I must admit. As far as I am aware the white doesn't taint and of the 5 white devices in my home, none have ended up looking dirty, or 'nasty' whatever that means? I suppose with it being a white laminate under glass, its difficult for it to taint from the top surface. If the white discolours due to sunlight, then it is an Apple problem. I'd be interested to see examples of this.

Is it just me, or is an iPhone with a white bezel easier to find in the dark?! I keep my iPhone on my nightstand, and I find that its easier to find/spot if I need to check it at night

Haha I read that sometimes the white bezel can take on a yellow tint! It hasn't happened to me...yet  Lol!

This really depends on the owner. I've had my iPhone 5 and 5S the day they were released and they're spotless.

I only know two people who have white and they both have a bit of dirt or soil in the crevices! Next time I see them I will take a picture. I am sure the black phones have the same but it is just harder to see.

Being a guy, I would never have a white iPhone.

Just kidding so do not get your panties in a wad!

Some of you are a little over sensitive :p :p

I wasn't being over sensitive about it, just questioning the statement. If people choose black over white because they prefer it, its their choice, I just question the reasoning when physical flaws that I haven't experienced are put forward as a reason. I'm sure the white does show a little more dirt in the crevices when you look very closely, just like I am sure the black shows up more finger marks across the bezel when held at a certain angle in bright light lol. The pro's and con's eh Newton? ;)

No big deal here. :)

There's definitely some truth in there. White paint really reflects nearly all light that's in a room (e.g. making it white). Black paint really absorbs nearly all light in a room (e.g. why it looks black).

I prefer black, though. I don't know why, it's simply what I like more.

Personally I don't think there is a lot of difference between the slate grey and the fully black iPhone 5 that was. Apart from of course a lot less scratches on the edge of the device that made it look pretty gash after a few months. It is preference though and while I hope Apple don't return to full black and more than likely won't, you at least get your money's worth out of the device you do have, should it stay reliable. :)
Well, my iPhone 5 was actually a replacement for my launchday iPhone 5. It's been rock solid and any nicks and scratches have been my own damn fault.

There is one edge where the paint has been worn away to the aluminum underneath, but again, my fault. Usually my phone rides in a specific compartment in my car when I go places. I lay it down in the same way every time. That particular compartment is angled and tends to collect dust. Over time that's worn the edge away. If I'd kept it elsewhere it would probably still be as good as the other edge which has not had this happen.

But overall, I still have a black/slate iPhone 5 that functions perfectly and has given me no issues.

That's fair enough. My current white iPhone 5 is now a year old after my original one was replaced under warranty for a sim card reader error last August. Touch wood it has not let me down since, but as I am due to upgrade next month my choice will be to get the next iPhone and sell this one on. I should get around 200 quid for it as its a 32GB model. I could just keep my current iPhone but what the hell, I fancy a change. :)

I tend to be a little different than most users here that I have come across. We don't sell our phones. We either hang on to them and use them for something else or pass them on to people who need phones. Our last two phones went to people wanting to keep their old Sprint SERO plans (those are employee plans).

Generally, we stick with our phones past two years and we don't use cases. While we do not abuse our phones and my wife in particular takes care of hers, we aren't likely to get the top dollar that most people would get if we were to sell, even though we both have the 64GB model.

We generally buy new phones with our tax refund (and get what we wish, not just what we can afford) and tend to do that on a two year cycle. So, all the way around there's never been any need or desire to sell our phones.

One of the reasons I count the look of a phone as more important to me than features. I'm going to be with a particular phone for at least two years (and more once I retire the phone) so I better like looking at it each day!

White. Had a black iPhone 4 because I got it before the white came out.

I like bright (but not overly bright) colours. White is more colourful than black, suits iOS7 (which I had to have as I upgraded to 5s.)

A yellow tint would be more of a concern on a 4s I think, as there's more white. I have my 5s in a case with a screen protector, so I think I'm safe.

I watch videos on both my white 5s and my white iPad 3 and it doesn't distract me.

That said, I do like the black/slate 5. The slate looks sophisticated. Don't like the grey though, so my 5s decision was easy.

I'm not sure I even care anymore to be honest. I've had both black and white. What matters most is what's on the screen.

All of my White iPhones looked just as White as the day that I got them when I sold them a year later. No dirt on my White iPhone.

I'll more than likely be getting the White iPhone again this year.

Have an iPhone 5 white right now. I bought it from a previous owner and sold my 4S. The white is pretty much spotless. I prefer black I think more than white though and will be going for black/space gray for the iPhone 6
