Will the iPhone 5/6 be a Quad-Core Phone?

No, it won't, because LTE is a bigger priority for sales and Apple is all about battery life, which will go down the drain if they use a Quad Core CPU. The graphics may be Quad, but the CPU will remain Dual Core.

I really don't know why you guys think it will be Quad Core, especially considering that the phone will be thinner, as well.

Samsung Galaxy S3 has a Quad core CPU and has better battery life than an iPhone 4S?
 
Blame the power sgx 543mp2 for the battery life. Its a fast gpu but its also huge and uses retarded amount of power. The a5 is 133mm^2. Even the quad core tegra 3 is only 80mm^2. The a5x is even worse, its over 165mm^2.

Yeah they need to go back to using a chip that uses less power....if the A6 is made specifically for iphone, smaller, more energy efficient but as fast as A5 I'd be happy, I wish I had iphone 4 battery life, my battery hits 15 percent by 4-5pm every day with basic twitter usage.
