The first computer I ever owned was a Umax c500 Mac clone.

Clone? People actually buy product clones?
Maybe I'm missing something, but is it like an iPhone (good) vs a HiPhone (crap)?

The clones were so good that they hammered Apple's bottom line. That's why Gil's gone and Steve's back. Indeed, one can easily build a clone that is far superior to either the iMac or Mini, albeit with a price in elegance and engineering.
