Isn't that bad. If I sleep my Mac at 100% and leave it over night, it'll have about 93% remaining. That is from 12 hours worth of sleeping. Isn't that bad!

yea mine seems to drain more, somewhere around 10%->15% overnight (and i dont sleep for 12 hours!). depends how much memory im using.

Same here, but it looks like we're the minority.
Yeah. A shame, really. I thought Mac users were more environmentally aware than the average PC user, but apparently I was wrong. :(

Even though sleeping could be handy, I always find myself turning the MacBook off. I need sleep, my cats need sleep, and so does my computer.

I often just close my iBook and set it on my nightstand -- I like having it powered up when I wake unexpectedly at ungodly hours.

I do, however, make it a point of shutting it down at least once every couple of days. I do believe it needs the downtime.

I always just put my Macs to sleep when I'm not using them. The only time I shut them down are when there are software updates that require it.

My MacBook sometimes has trouble waking from sleep correctly. I have to press the power button a few seconds, then once more (shortly) and it will wake from what I think is hibernation. There are a couple of rounded rectangles on an otherwise gray screen, near the bottom of the screen, making up a progress bar. When all rectangles are full, my MacBook is usable again. Sometimes, it won't wake at all, leaving me with no other option than to restart it. Really annoying.

Anyone else experiencing this problem? What could be causing it?

I have a very similar problem but I just hold the power button when it happens.

I put it to sleep because in the morning I check e-mails, first thing. But if I know I won't have time then I power off, and before I go to school I power off

I put my MacBook Pro to sleep but I change it to power it off because it seems that the sleep mode hurts the battery life much, much more...I use the MBP for work every day (Office stuff, presentations, etc.) and I have now the 4th battery for the 2 year old baby....

I only restart/shut down the computer when I'm updating software that requires it or something goes terribly, terribly wrong.

I usually completely power off overnight, and when traveling between school and classes and such I just put it on sleep.
