True story I saw a guy sporting a Rolex and an AW. He was dual weilding them. I couldn’t get to my phone quick enough to snap a photo as it would be priceless.

I wear my AW the majority of the day, but when I charge it in the evening, I will put on a traditional watch for a few hours. I feel like I have more of a connection (no pun intended) with my Apple Watch than my traditional watches.

I have an Omega Planet Ocean. Great watch, but it needs repairs and the cost to repair it is almost what I paid for my SS AW6.

People who spend so much money on traditional watches think they’re flexing, but no one really cares.

with an Apple Watch, people care. People think your hip, modern, sexy, rich, popular, and stylish.

I remember when a few girls asked me about my Apple Watch. We had a good time, I bought them clothes, food, products, because they thought my Apple Watch was cool. :) I recommend the Apple Watch over a traditional watch you’ll get more farther in life, especially with all the health features

Almost everyone I know who wears an AW wears them for fitness tracking.

Apple Watch, although is referred to as a "watch" by apple, still is not comparable to a traditional watch and doesn't function like a traditional watch.

A nice $1000 watch is a jewelry piece and no matter how much you spend on an AW, it is considered as "cheap" and who wears it informal events (saying weddings) I consider them as "cheapo"s.

It's pretty much the same concept as a $10 Casio watch when it comes to displaying the time, especially with the Micky Mouse background.

I don't go to a party in my gym pants and I don't go to a party wearing my AW.

The same goes to AW. The issue is you just mentioned the core aspect of it: "Fitness tracking".

Apple watch is 1st a fitness tracker and then a digital watch.

For a teenager, or someone in their early 20's I'd say AW is completely fine! But you get to 30's and above, you have to get some valuable stuff on your wrist in addition to your AW. A

Me too my hubby was so pissed when I ditched the Rolex he gave me for an AW. I have had an AW since series 0. I still wear my Rolex when I can't wear a smartwatch (like taking certain cert exams or going places where I will have no connectivity for vacation)....
Same story: just change out Rolex for unhealthy addiction to Russian diving watches. Wore a garmin forerunner only for running, biking, swimming and a dress watch only for going out. Since the AW0, I've been a constant watch wearer ( weird how Apple builds things I like ).

This answer is not what you were looking for, but I will put it out there.

Since getting a smart phone years ago (iphone 4S) I stopped wearing watches. At work there were clocks on the walls, at my desk, clock on the computer, clocks on the machines/monitors I worked with. When I am driving, there is a clock.

I briefly had a fitness tracker, but I found the scrolling text feature irritatingly useless.

I do not feel the need to check to see if I have a text, notification, or email when it comes to my phone. I'll check it when I feel like it.

For all of the years that I wore watches, think I looked at it 2-3 times per day to see what time it was. The last watch that I wore was a Casio calculator watch--I used that many times per day for work--worked great until my eyes aged out and the display numbers and keypad numbers seemed to become too small. I started using the calculator on my iphone and was able to retire the calculator watch, and stopped wearing watches altogether.

My Dad wears his Nomos on one arm and the Apple Watch on the other, on the contrary I rarely use my traditional watch anymore..
I actively use my Apple Watch for timekeeping and really enjoy the chime/"double tap" on full hours that you can activate in the settings
