Prior to my first AppleWatch (S5 SS in Space Black), I would wear the venerable Casio F91 to the gym to time my workouts. It was cute and reminded me of my childhood but outside of the gym, I never bothered to wear a watch at all since I always had my phone with me.

The only watch I wear now is my AppleWatch because it always has the correct time and date and I can use it for other things besides just as a watch. I can only think to wear my old Seiko to a formal event but outside of this, it just sits there. From a utilitarian standpoint, I don't see the need for it any longer but I'm curious what you all did with your non-smartwatches.

How many of you are in the same position now? Do you still wear traditional watches and under what circumstance? Formal events? Long camping trips?

Slightly different situation. I didn’t wear watch until I had smartwatch. Now I wear AW and Garmin, both depending on my outfit.

I have a collection of around a dozen "normal" watches.
I haven't worn any of them since getting my first true smartwatch - a Pebble, many years ago.
Since my first Apple Watch - the Series 0 SS, I haven't worn another type of watch at all.

Yes. Just picked up an Apple Watch Ultra 3, finally upgrading my Series 6. However I’ve also just purchased two brand new Omega. A Planet Ocean in Blue and a Green Seamaster. I have about 8 other watches as well in my collection. Apple Watch during the work day and I work from home, go figure.

Regular watch after hours, weekends and going out.

I have an Ultra 2, SS S9, and roughly a dozen analog watches that I’ve collected over the last 20 years. Like a few other posters, I usually wear one of the Apple Watches but will sport a traditional watch for stuff like going out with the wife or special occasions.

Here are my current favorites. The Bulova was my grandfather’s.

I have recently started wearing mechnical watches again and tend to dump the Apple Watch on weekends and sometimes when I fancy wearing a traditional watch to work. Its nice to disconnect and also wear something that looks nice, rather than a bland screen on the wrist. Bought a Rolex recently and find I don't even miss the AW on the days I don't wear it.

My wife mostly stopped wearing her Apple Watch, apart from when she exercises. She even considered selling it at one point.

Smart watch to me is just for sports - or I strap it onto my other wrist when I go on walks (to count steps).

Mechanical watches however are jewellery to me - the only kind I've ever worn. I wear them every day and currently own six (one each from IWC, Sinn, Tudor, Cartier, Girard-Perregaux and Tutima).

I am actually moving away from wearing a watch, period.
But, from time to time, when I pass my watch box, I do feel a little guilty for not wearing them as often as I used to...

Which model did you buy? Were you fortunate enough to get it from a dealer or did you buy used?
