With iTunes Match, there's no need to keep music on any of my iOS devices unless I need it available on the device without worrying about having to download it (while traveling, for example).

18gigs of music and 32 movies. 64 gig. i stream lots from my iPad to my two appletv's i like having it on there. same with my iPhone.

No music on iPad...it's all on the iPhone :)

Same for me. Usually if I'm listening to music while using my iPad it's from my iPhone in my pocket.

I have the capacity on the iPad, and I have tried it, but I wasn't using it so I didn't put it on the new iPad.

I have all my music on both my iPhone and my iPad. Any where I have my iPad, I have my iPhone but when I'm using my iPad for browsing, e-mails etc. I like to just put my headphones into it and use it for listening.

My entire collection sits on my MacBook Pro. However for listening purposes, I always keep with me my iPod Classic 160GB in my car. Otherwise I have I have an iPod nano for the gym, and an iPhone incase that one fails. However I do keep some of my collection on my iPad. Gotta be able to mix some music in the DJay App, or if I'm flying, or traveling, and don't want to plug in to two separate devices, my iPad comes in handy. My iPad isn't music specific for me, but every device serves it's purpose!

No, I keep all my music on my 32GB iPhone 4, which is always with me, as opposed to the iPad.

I just have a smart playlist, containing 150 of my highest rated songs.
iTunes Match has been hit & miss for me. I get occasional errors where songs won't download, or appear downloaded, but the Music app skips over them completely, or my custom album arts don't get downloaded, etc, etc.
I basically use iTunes Match, to 'match' any songs that weren't from iTunes on my computer, and keep everything local, on my iPhone & iPad.
