I only click if I'm tapping and nothing is happening and I'm getting angry.
Or to select things (click and drag), double tap and drag is just weird.
Oh and a question for people:
If you click and drag to select things (unibodies) do you drag with the finger you are clicking with, or a different finger? Make sense?

...I don't like how it takes OS X a second or so to release what you are dragging.
tap again to release it!

Different finger FTW

I hate the way you cant have 2 finger tap (Rt click) without having bottom corner click activated. Hope they sort this because 2 finger tap is good, but bottom trackpad is annoying.

Right now I have 2-finger secondary tap activated, and bottom right corner secondary click deactivated. I don't see how it's a problem.

Sorry to raise this from the dead, but I just got my MBP recently (this weekend) and I'm learning how to use it.

My friend has a Blackbook, so when I asked about tap to click he quickly rejected it. I changed the setting today to just tapping and so far it works much better, I feel it's a hassle to click the trackpad, especially in the middle or the top.

I still click to move windows around, otherwise tapping has been working very efficiently and easier.

Try using the tap to drag windows as well. Takes a little getting used to, but I like it much better now. Apple has finally made the trackpad almost as easy to use as a normal mouse.

I still haven't figured out how to move windows with tap to click.

Ensure that if "Tap to Click" is turned on, that you have it set to do both "clicking" and "dragging". Then, to move a window, you simply double-tap on the window's title bar, and it will enable you to drag it around.

Side note: didn't realize so many people "tap to click". I am not one of them.

Thanks for the tip. I probably don't have it set to drag as well. I'll look into it tonight. I think a lot of people prefer tap to click on the uMBPs because the trackpad is hard to click in some places.

Why wouldn't you want to use the "tap" functionality?

I take advantage of the awesome "tap" functionality! I had a MacBook before my new MBP and the trackpad button wore out, which resulted in a very annoying clicking sound. While I do admit that it took some getting used to the "tap" functionality, I wouldn't have it any other way.

gotta push down!

love the overall feel and sound... so futuristic!

i feel like if i put it to tap, i would make waaay too many errors mis-clicking things

Clicking a button is futuristic?

Do you hate those darn newfangled phones without wires too?

I just turned on tap to click a few days ago to try it out, and so far I like it. The trackpad is crazy sensitive, though, so we'll see how long I keep it on...
