i am not stupid. i think apple is working on the next generation iphone and i think they should its a smart thing to do.. but some kids on a forum like .. ok i want this this this this and this and do you think this will happen ok well what about this.. ITS STUPID... we dont know and will not know for a long time.. lets just enjoy the new iphone for 10 months then we can speculate.. sound good ?

I did get to use an original iPhone before release... but it is not that person sharing information with me... someone completely unrelated. If I were to make something up, it would probably be something big.
Truth is, I know NOTHING about the details for iPhone 2010, except that there is one in the channels.
The post that I made the night before this keynote was pretty accurate, don't you think. That info came from my friend.

Apple bought P.A. Semi for a reason...
Think about it. In April of last year, Apple purchased P.A. Semiconductor, a manufacturer of Alpha and StrongARM type processors. Figuring that the cycle to retool this company, design and manufacture completely proprietary chips JUST FOR THEIR OWN DEVICES will likely take at least 1 1/2 years. That places the first Apple designed chips from P.A. Semi being available roughly later this year, but probably not in time for this current batch of iPhone 3G S⃣ phones that are coming next week.
Maybe I am way off base here, but I would expect a revolutionary device by the summer of next year. They can make it smaller, more efficient and faster by combining as many different chips as possible into one. At that point, they wouldn't be grabbing as many parts off the shelves because they might be using a single proprietary chip that integrates many different chips... that is only available to them.

I don't think PA fabs anything, either way, Apple just took the talent. I think Apple is working to build things faster, less power, and cheaper through custom designs at the same time internalizing designs so to keep their competitive edge. I wouldn't be surprised if PA Semi's fingerprints are all over the speed in the new iPhone. Obviously the new CPU and GPU are big, but there could be lots of custom work put on the silicone to speed specific tasks.
