Hello guys,
I am kind of OCD when it comes to my Apple products..
So, my question is- do you think I have a problem with my backlight and white in general ( uneven on top ), based on the photo given below:

It is more obvious on lower brightness level, do you think it is normal my screen and every other ( with slight differences) to have this?

Crazy to think in 5 years time that entire device will be sitting in a landfill somewhere, even more crazy to think in 20 years time you'll never remember even owning it.

And most crazy of all? 100 years from now... nothingness.

Amen.

Maybe I'm blind, but I don't see anything wrong with the screen…

Maybe you do have a problem.

<sarcasm>
I think you have a stuck pixel - the 422nd from the left, 138th from the top (as oriented in your photo) looks at least 3 lumens too bright to me.
</sarcasm>

:)))))) you made my day!
Seriously, I am freaking out when it comes about LCD's and do allways notice uneven whites and bleedings, but may be it's just me.. About the screens- 100% OCD...unfortunately..

I can see what the OP is talking about, but I'm pretty sure the only time you'll notice it is when displaying a full white JPG.

That probably won't come up too often.

Yes, but I am wondering if this is normal for every 4S?
Here us more obvious shot, when I see dimmer top part of the screen:

i didn't read the OP but it looks fine. sounds like you're trying to create a problem. it's amazing how the human mind can persuade itself otherwise.

just enjoy.

Yeah, may be you are right..
I just find my iP4's screen more iniform than my 4S, but here in Germany all batches are like this, so it's may be kind of normal..

I can't see anything wrong with it all.....

It is all about slighty dimmer top part of the screen. My iP4 have perfectly uniform backlight ( you can see the LEDs if you look it at angle ), but this one seems to use different LED structure ( they are not visible at the top, but also it's a bit dimmer) . Only visible on white backgraund. Thats it, just will ask you if it is not a big problem for you to take one photo of yours and to shere here. Only if this will not bother you.

I think I have the same problem as you, top part of screen slightly darker than bottom part. the LEDs are visible only at the bottom of the screen. Maybe that is why the top part is slightly dimmer? Do you see the LEDs at the left and right sides of the screen?

you know, just because you openly admit to being OCD about "LCD screens" doesn't make it ok. seek help. your life will be richer for it.

Well said. Id just add that in a year the OP will have the ip5 or whatever it will be called and have whole new thing to OCD about.

OP: As someone who probably has more issues with OCD than you, take my advice and just kick back and enjoy your phone.

Wait a minute: The upper left corner of your screen is a little bluer than the other areas of your screen...

My iPhone goes to heaven with me. Jesus told me so.
