It's cool that the Macbooks are coming out in Aluminum, but personally, I really love the White. As for the specs, my current Macbook is all I really need. So I'm super happy! I dont care about the refresh =) The new prices 'aggressive' prices would be cool, considering I paid like $2000 for my MacBook. :apple:4Life!

P.S. Kidding about the $2000...lol

After the new ones arrive, start checking the forum for problems and then you will feel great about your macbook.

NO, Aluminum has no problem with heat. The reason it is getting warm is the fact that it is dissapating heat. Plastic has this problem with deforming under heat.

Never buy anything electric when it first comes out. Let other people be the 'Guinea Pig' and test the product. You needed the laptop now, not in a few months. It seems like electronics get outdated every 6 months, get over it. Life is too short to worry about something like this.

I don't feel bad about my decision to get a Macbook (Below) knowing full well new ones may be released within a month. So far it has been three months, and there have been so many times when everyone was sure the macbooks would be refreshed; it has yet to pass. At first i kicked my self about my decision, but now i feel happy with it, as i feel the past few months (since Early July) i have had with my laptop have been worth it and so even if new ones were released tomorrow, i would still be happy.

Im just stating I am sick of listening to asinine comments like "aluminum has problems with heat"

Aluminum has a great thermal conductivity, rivaling the noble metals (gold, copper, silver)

Plastic, when reaching a critical temperature will deform, as will any meta, that critical point for plastic is far lower.

If your sick of it then don't read the thread. Simple enough. Aluminum in the Pro's have had heat problems. It is well documented.

you're right, if the MBP were made of plastic it would run so much cooler. I will stick my materials degree where the sun don't shine

Im not putting words in your mouth. You simply stated because of the aluminum, which is not true, maybe poor airflow, or poor porting, but not the material and es, I am special, my mommy told me so.

Do you drive a prius? I hear they run on smug.

Agreed, you have to be a fool not to see that on almost every forum ;;;;)I am sure you are special....

True. It is just best to ignore stupidity. I guess we need to ignore all the documentation of it being a problem. Then again we don't have a materials degree or we don't claim we do to make ourselves look credible.

But we are here daily and READ... Funny when I bought the macbook air, it was almost as hot as my MBP. Sold it and went back to a white MB :)

You are right, I have 0 credibility. I am a fool and a retard. you rule the forums. you too sandy, oh god of the forum.

I have read these forums every day since last may, when I waited out getting a new imac. I am absolutely sick of stupidity and threads about waiting. if you are going to wait, why must you let the world know?

ALUMINUM MACBOOKS!?!!?! It must be true, that noob on MacRumors confirmed and guaranteed it, apparently they should have been out in July! Oh wait, the shop in NZ did too, and it should have been out last week!

All sources saying there will be aluminum have been wrong with release dates and yet everyone here deems them trustworthy. Remember this from the SR release?

Anyway, I hope that once this machine goes in about four years I'm still able to get a plastic one. While aluminum is great, I've been a PowerBook owner for 5 years, the heat problems aren't worth it.

And for anyone that's going to post "Apple will fix the heat issues", they've ignored them and called them normal for the past seven years. I don't see a change in the future.
