2.) Place grape on home button.

3.) Push palm of hand evenly on the earpiece side of the phone quickly and release.

Does the grape get catapulted?

If yes, the phone is bent.

Just put the grape in the middle of the phone. Bang on the table with your hand. If the grape moves the phone is bent. If it doesn't move it's flat. Simple....

About the phone- I think if there is some slight bent, it must have came this way from the factory. I am not sure if this can be a reasonable ground for an exchange...
If there is some bent, it's probably less than 0.2-3mm.
I also got my screen replaced by a Genius a month ago, may be it has happened during the swap process..
