Do you think the camera will be flush or protrude on the iPhone 7?

Personally, I would be pretty bummed if it protruded. I would like my phone to sit flat, please.

Hope it is flat. Recessed would be best. I never got any scratches on my phone camera lens until the 6 Plus.

A better camera will protrude even more, not to mention that the case will probably be slimmer still.

Doesn't matter what any of us thinks really, just whatever Apple decides to go with.

Apple is giving us a 1mm thinner iPhone 7 stop whining. LOL

:p

You'd rather have a thinner phone than the 6S (which is incredibly thin as is) than have a better battery? Lmao.

Given that Jonny Ive would probably sacrifice all first borns in Cupertino for a further 0.1mm thinness, I wouldn't hold my breath for a fully flush camera module on future iPhones.

Sorry but on the 6/6s it's so minimal that when the phone is laying flat you can't even tell.

I never understood how this was an issue.
A protruding camera means it's more likely to get scratched when placed down, and it makes it harder to use laying flat as it rocks back and forth or is off centered.

If the camera sits flush with the body either the body would have to become thicker (Moto X) of have some kind of bar like on the Nexus 6P. Flat back, thin body just seams to result in a camera bump these days. This will eventually lead to thinner camera modules, so I don't mind the push.

Thin phones.. Look great and forces the industry of thinking of ways to make more efficient processors, better batteries, new port standards and new camera modules or techniques. Future's gonna be awesome.

... the camera lens is made out of sapphire and difficult to scratch.

I always have a case so it doesn't matter for me either way. But from a design point of view surely it needs to be flush?

I was being sarcastic. LOL Hence the :p

I think Apple, Google, Samsung are all getting carried away with this thinnest.
