I think Apple will be quite shocked at the number of people who won't be upgrading this year.

That watch hump on the back is a visual downgrade. But outside of that , same
Stuff as usual I think so if x/xs/xr floats your boat more of the Same but uglier

I doubt they will be shocked. They already know it. Im assuming they will not be producing as many this year as years past. They might sell out faster because of it.

Sorry for being off topic, but as a jeans guy, I just can't let this one slide. :p I only buy jeans where I know exactly where they are produced, which kind of cotton is used and usually with cuts that have either some kind of historic relevance or are just plain comfy and good looking.

However, the jeans which got discolored a little were G-Star Elwood X25's, which might be more prone to this kind of thing due to the extreme amount of color used to print their designs on the denim.
 
It's an uglier version of the X/XS design, so no.

The X/XS are actually very pretty, probably ahead of the iPhone 4.
 
Its not a ‘must have’ item if you can hold out for the 2020 model you’ll probably get much more bang for your buck

I agree. It's like the iPhone X had an ugly brother that fell from the ugly tree, hit every branch on the way down, hit the roots and the impact dislodged a branch that then fell on his head swelling his eye to the size of a balloon!
 
The iPhone 11 will be the same as the current XR,XS, XS Max design, plus the trio camera set up on the rear. Everyone will not be impressed for about a month and then stop caring.

We probably won't know sales numbers, but could wager that sales expectations from Apple will be lower, so they'll say sales are meeting expectations.

Maybe the 2020 iPhone may be slight design change, but not holing my breath.. not a huge amount .

TBH - 2019 iPhone's are shaping up to be boring going from the rumors.

Not sure. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and since the majority is going to put the pretty device in a cheap plastic, silicone or fake leather case, that’s where beauty ends already. For me anyways.

I can’t remember the majority of forum members dismissing the design of the 4 either. Even then, it’s just Macrumors.
There will always be people who like or dislike the device and people often like what they are to and are reserved towards new things. That’s not really selective memory, more a case of being human.
 
Consumers want phones to use them,(i.e. take pictures, social media, animoji’s, outside world connections, etc.), They don’t buy phones based on looks. They choose the color they want, but they don’t care what it looks like, it’s sites like this that have much more pedantically overly concerned people about a triple lens camera on the back of the phone. Non-issue.

I thought so for years, but the last time I looked at it I realized the large bezels relative to the small screen look really strange and hopelessly dated to me now. It wasn’t wasted space at the time and given the limitations of the available technology. But now that we can do better, such an external design would be a very inefficient use of space if resurrected for a modern phone for the sake of nostalgia. Probably the only elements you could salvage for a 2019 phone would be the steel band and the flat glass. And now phones are so big, so would such straight edges feel comfortable in hand?

I think the iPhone 11 and 11r look nice. Not knock my socks off gorgeous, but acceptable. Of course I want to see the notch gone someday and a much more refined camera bump for 2020.

Still, putting it up against the iPhone 6-8 design, I do think I like the X-11 models the best now.

I think my 11r is endearing with its cheerful coloring. The rear lens is nice looking. I do think the new square lens box looks a bit like a big void on the back of the renders. But knowing there will be considerable additional functionality helps temper my judgement of the aesthetics. I hope the final product has a bit more style or looks better in person.

I’m not upgrading because I just got a xs max. I’m hoping the iPhone 13 is gonna be great! More battery life than the iPhone 12. Better camera than the 12 haha. I think the camera on my xs max is fantastic so I’m looking forward to a big jump.

What leaks? I don’t think the 2020 iPhone will look much different from the iPhone 11 and 11 pro.
