As others have said, I've never turned off any other cell phone overnight, I'm not sure why I would start now. Besides, I don't have a landline, so its my only phone.

If you're not sure why you would leave your phone on overnight...don't leave it on.

how else could i get my 12am mr forum updates or my 5 am hofo updates

also my alarm clock

Only time I can say that I turn mine off is when that time is spent with a lady friend. ;-)

Leave it on all night, it's my alarm clock, and my only phone line. So it's on all the time in case there's an emergency

I turn it off every 2 or 3 nights. My reasoning.......iPhone 3G is like a computer with OS, every once in a while rebooting it just speed things up and clear the memory.

Who knows...maybe that's why my sync only takes 2-3 min unless I am downloading musics or movies, doesn't crash or freeze.....and I am not upgrading it to 2.01 (knock on wood!)
You can solve this by turning it off for just a few minutes. It doesn't need to be off for hours to reset it.

I turn mine off for a few minutes every other day or so, which is actually more often than I turn off my iBook. ;)

nope on 27/7
Are you on a different planet, where days are 27 hours long? :p

ditto this ditto

Mine sits in its dock, charging on my night table, and wakes me up every morning.

same here. My MacBook is off for the most part at night and when im using it throughout the day in dual display mode and all, the magsafe is always plugged in because it just takes power from the cable instead of the battery. Same thing at night with the 3G, sleeping but on, on its dock :D

My White iPhone stays awake all nite :)

I leave my iPhone 3g on all night but in the mornings I do refresh it though. Turn it off for a min then back on. This way the iPhone in it self works smooth.
Mahalo~;):apple:

Call forwarding is so easy on this phone. I turn on call forwarding and leave it on the dock. This way I don't miss calls because the phone is in one room and I'm in another.

This phone is on AC during the night, but not receiving calls.

My phone goes to bed with me and stays on :) I dont use it as an alarm..yet...til school starts backup, but I do fall to sleep listening to music.
I charge my phone all day while Im at work, so no need to charge it at night.

its bad to sleep with the phone on ur bed, id put it on like a side table or something

I have mine turned on sitting in my dock connected to my alarm clock via aux-in. Some nights I'll use it to listen to music while I fall asleep.

I put mine in airplane mode so I can still use the alarm, but not have the electromagnetic waves bombarded my body all night unnecessarily.

Work has called me at 3 am before, and if I didn't have the phone on, I imagine I probably wouldn't need to bother showing up for work the next morning. Also, since work pays my plan, it would be bad to have it off.

But... Why would you bother turning off your phone? Do you turn off your home phone every night? I suppose some people do, but it just seems like a bad idea to me.
