Like the consensus so far, no. I use it every morning for my alarm and have done so since 2007.

I dont think my phone has been turned off for more than a minute since I bought it last summer.

I never turn it off at night, but on the odd night I will turn on Airplane mode so that I won't get random drunk texts/calls when I really need to sleep

Never have turned it off at night and never will. Sleep is important, but I can think of hundreds of phone calls that could be more important.

I sometimes turn mine off. Usually I'll leave it on but some nights when I don't feel like being woken up by a text message or email or even a call I'll just turn it off.

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 4_3_1 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/533.17.9 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/5.0.2 Mobile/8G4 Safari/6533.18.5)

I turn my iPhone off once a month for about 7 seconds.

I have mine turned on all the time because I use the alarm to wake me up, but at night I put airplane mode on so that no one can ring me and wake me up

what happens if someone is dying?! at least use silent so that the vibrate would wake you up!
