Was curious as to if it made taking notes in a business meeting easier than typing on the notepad...

This is exactly what I use it for--Along with the Noteshelf app (Penultimate is also good).

I think it depends on what works best for you. I see many coworkers in meetings with laptops pecking out notes, but it distracts me too much. I used to fill notebooks and now I just fill pages in Noteshelf...then I have them all at hand when I need them.

But feel no shame for your stylus! :)

Yes, I use my stylus Griffin extensively, primarily to annotate pdfs (using PDF Expert and iAnnotate) and to take notes (using Notability).

For fun, I use it with 123D Sculpt and occasionally when I play backgammon.

never owned an iPad before but i hate fingerprints on touch screen devices. so I'm sure I will buy one to try it out.. only thing I can imagine bothering me is typing with it, But then again, I have fat fingers that love to press the wrong buttons... but at least there is more than one of them.

I originally didn't intend to use a stylus with my iPad but when I ordered a case today, it came with a free stylus so I am going to try it out once it arrives.
