I use it a few times a week at either Trader Joes or Whole Foods but I have never seen anyone else use it. I still feel like it's a novelty.
This exactly. Restaurants and groceries are the two places I go to most, so I don't really use it except when I shop at Whole Foods once in a blue moon and Trader Joes weekly.

I love it - so easy compared to taking out a card and using Chip and PIN. Here in the UK I have used it in McDonalds, KFC, Marks and Spencer, Waitrose, and the JustEat app (which unfortunately makes ordering take away too easy...). Just a shame it is restricted to a £30 limit.....(and Pets at Home too, and Boots, and Greggs, and on a trip to London used it for the underground).

Boots should have removed the £30 limit back in November but have yet to do for some reason!

The contactless limit changed from £20 to £30 in September 2015; I believe the 'upgrade' completed by the end of October 2015.

It's a shame places like Morrison's and Tesco's don't remove the £30 limit (for Apple Pay). For example TSB offer 5% cashback on Apple Pay/contactless until the end of this year; people could earn some serious money if they used it regularly.

I definitely agree with your point but TSB is only 5% cash back up on contactless purchases up to £100 per month. I am thinking of switching to TSB.

Have used in these.

Co-Op
McDonalds
Starbucks
Costa
Morrisons
Greggs
Subway
M&S
Waitrose
Boots
Apple Store App

Tried to use Apple Pay in Apple Store last week to buy a watch band through the app using easy pay and it declined so had to use my debit card through the app to pay, phone is running 9.3 PB not sure if that's why wasn't working as used in Morrisons store afterwards and it worked right away

I use Apple Pay (with a FD debit card) all the time and I'm pleased to see that most retailers are quite used to and comfortable with the idea - like they've seen it all before. It's way faster than cash or taking out a card - I accidentally left my house without a wallet the other day and was able to use it for everything I needed it for (well lunch and petrol).

I have it on my watch and my phone but I've stopped using it on my watch because its easier to hold the phone up to the reader most of the time.

Works surprisingly flawlessly on the London Underground and London buses. I especially love the way you can use it all day and it will cap your travel at day travel-card rate (depending on where you go), pretty neat.

My favorite place to use it lately is the drink vending machine at my office. Wonderfully convenient.

Well I used Apple Pay at my local Tesco Metro again this morning; seems weird paying for my food shopping using my Apple Watch (even though I've been doing it for months now!)

Am in London next week and can't wait to try it out on the Tube; last time I was down I didn't get to try it out as I didn't have my card on me to set up AP.

Don't forget to pre-authorise the card before tapping in to the tube/bus or it will take too much time.

Don't worry I'll be double clicking my home button on my Watch as I approach the gates!

Just stopped off at my local Co-Op and noticed they've changed the voice on the self checkout.

Still limited to £30 for Apple Pay *but* they've changed something as it read my Watch much more quicker than normal.

I used to use it, but kinda gave up on it now. Too many places didn't accept it that I got tired of trying and failing and then having to pull out my card anyway so the whole process took longer (and looked like an idiot in the process). I got tired of trying to remember who accepted it and who didn't. So now just get a card ready ahead of time like I used to.

To be honest it takes me the same amount of time to get my contactless card out of my wallet than my massive 6S+ out of my front pocket.

I've used it successfully at the post office and at Piggly Wiggly. Festival (grocery) has NFC readers, but I've never been able to get it to work.

I used it at least 3-4 times a week. I've used it at:

Rite Aid
Luckys
Subway
Movie Theater
Vending machines

I would like to use it more, but NFC isn't turned on at too many stores in my small town.

i only use it at McDonalds because my phone sits in the centre console beside me so easier to use that than get my wallet out.

If morrisons didn't have a £30 limit which my local store sometimes is £30 sometimes is £20 then I would use it more.

Does McDonalds in the UK have to hand out the terminal out the window for the drive through like the US does or do they have a contactless reader built into the wall like some US drive throughs?

Looks like Barclaycard UK are finally getting *somewhere* with Apple Pay:

They hand the terminal out the window but they have a handle to keep a hold of it.

anytime i need to use my card I ask if they take apple pay. I've used it at whole foods, the apple store & mcdonalds, mostly. I do like the integration of Apple Pay in apps. For instance the Dunkin Donuts and Panera apps.

I use it as much as I can.

Advance auto parts
Jersey mikes
Walgreens
Subway
Bubbakoos
Shop rite
McDonald's

Nope and it probably won't for a long time. Walmart is one of the big members of MCX/CurrentC, and would love it it we could get away from credit cards entirely. Unlike some other MCX members, it seems like they'll keep trying to fight it (and they even released their own payment system).

That stinks.....I've used Samsung pay at Wal Mart with no problem at all. Glad I have not tried Apple pay a wally world yet.
