One folder for games because I do not usually play; I just have them because they were Christmast giveaways.

One folder for utilities like gps, inclinometer, compass and so on.

Both folders lay almost forgotten on the last home screen.

Folders keep the pages clean.

Looking forward to something new maybe hooks and shelves

I have 3 pages of "apps"

First page has a maybe 1-2 folders for stuff I don't normally use but cannot get rid of: Stocks.

Second page has a few more folders: Shopping (though Amazon sits outside this on its own), Photography (Snapseed is exception here, it too sits outside the folder), Entertainment, Education, Reading, and maybe 1 or 2 more folders but I keep the most used outside folders (and rarely use those in folders).

Third Page is all my son's Apps, and I have one folder there for books but everything else is out in the open so he can see it easily...though he mainly does the Elmo App, MoroTobi Book and one other.

It seems folders on my iPad and iPhone are for clustering Apps I don't normally use but might one day. or apps I cannot get rid of but hide away.

Yes, I use them on all of my iOS devices. Have to have a folder for Games and Photography - just too many good apps of that genre. It helps keep everything organized and on the same page. I find that if I Reset the home screen (sorted by name), I end up having to flip through page after page to find what I need. I also like to keep the less-used apps hidden.

Yes. I like to keep my apps as organized as possible. Can't stand having 10 pages of apps when I can 1-2 pages with folders instead. Most of my apps are games anyways so it's easier for me to know where a certain app is rather than fumbling through oodles of pages looking for an app.

I've currently got 277 apps installed so yeah. Half of them are for different categories of games.

I do use folders because I have around 100 apps and I don't like scrolling and scrolling. Truthfully, though, it probably doesn't matter because I use spotlight search most of the time. I actually use it with voice, which saves even more time.
