Eidorian must be asleep, because he would have normally beat me to this thread via forum spy. Either that, or he's got one of those things... what do you call em... Jobs! Yeah, that, or a life. :)

I have one repeatable technical problem with Forum Spy, and I'm not sure whether this happens to anyone else, but whenever I've had it going for a while, maybe an hour or so, at some point Safari will stop loading webpages. Any webpages at any destination.

The loading page bar will just freeze, usually at the // in the address. Nothing fixes this except quitting Safari and restarting it which can be a pain when you're in the middle of something. The app or OS doesn't freeze; I can still copy and paste and open new tabs etc. It never happens with other browsing elsewhere. Anyone else observed this?

My question would be... why are you doing anything on another website besides MR ;)

That's odd, never happened to me and I use Safari and keep the Spy open a lot. I will watch for it and let you know. I know Firefox gives me issues if I keep it open for long periods without closing, but never Safari. Interesting.

Nope, that has never happened to me, Blue.

I've had it stop loading asking if I'm still there. (timeout)

But never safari lock up from it.

I've noticed a different problem with Forum Spy. If I have it open for a while at a time, I'll see a bunch of duplicate posts in a row. It only happens to about 3 or 4 posts, but it's weird.

Do either of you have any Safari add-ons installed? I've never noticed either issue and have Forum Spy open quite a bit...

Maybe a couple of media plug-ins like Silverlight and Flip4Mac. It's not a big deal, just annoying from time to time.
