I installed it "the standard way", and have no idea what to do next. LOL. I don't see any extra menus or buttons. Can't find anything in the Preferences menu.

Can you give me some direction here? I'm using Safari 3.0.3 (522.12.1).

Thanks.

Are you certain its not here after quitting and re-opening Safari?

Yup. It wasn't there. I've already uninstalled it, or I'd post a screen cap, but I'm sure it wasn't there. Perhaps I should have followed the "recommended" install instructions.

Truth is, though, I'm have no complaint with Firefox, so I'm just gonna stick with it. It already handles tabs the way I want them to, let's me block annoying content, and has tremendous add-ons for Web developers.

The only thing that made me want to switch to Safari was the syncing between multiple computers, but Google has a Firefox sync utility now that allows me to do this.

I had the same exact problem yesterday, so i installed it the SMBL way, or whatever and it works perfectly.
Its real easy to install that way too, I guess its cause of Safari 3.03

I've am now a die hard Flock user. I can drag and drop pictures into my media gallery built into flock and it automatically adds it to flickr and photobucket. Also, as I surf the internet, if I find something I want to blog about, I can right click (ctrl + left click) and I can select blog this and it opens a text box which I add my thoughts, then bam it automatically uploads the blog with the picture, or video linked to my server.

I have been using Safari 3 Beta ever since I received my MacBook Pro and I have not had any problems at all with it.

Cool. Gonna try it out now. :)

Hmm, it's definitely very sleek and attractive, and I like some of its features, like PageDock, but I can't seem to get other features to work, like Tab Exposé and Page Flipping. Where are they?

Also, without a progress bar I can't seem to relate its speed to any other browser. In fact, without a visual representation (the progress bar) it seems slower, in fact.

Promising, though! :) At least it's better looking than FireFox. Works with UNO.

shiira is a dead product, it rarely updates, I can't imagine what would happen when a webkit /shiira shell related security hole floats.

where do you get your information from? it's on 2.2 since July 18th, and it's been receiving regular tweaks and updates. and it's a good browser.

oh my bad, I guess they do it better now, I was trying out all options last year when I got MB, and shiira is pretty good, just never updates. lol

Safari but I have Camino installed as well but rarely use it.

Firefox is my browser of choice on the PC platform but a shocker :mad:on the mac platform

I mainly use Firefox 2.x and I was using Shiira 1.2.2 instead of Safari but after downloading Shiira 2.2 and noticing what a disaster it still is, it makes me wish Firefox 3 was here already.

Opera is always a good third browser to keep.

I tried using Safari when I first got my Mac. I definitely liked the look of the program and the integration with the .Mac service, but it would always crash when my start page would open (iGoogle).

Well, I went back to using Firefox, added a "safari-like" skin and got an extension that will also let me sync my bookmarks with .Mac. I think I got the best of both worlds.
