BT headset - i have on of these dongle type things where you can attach your own headphones.

i set my phone to accept calls in the phone. then i connect this thing to the audio-in on my stereo & play itunes through it in the house.

like a cheap airport.

I have bluetooth mice and keyboards on all three of the computers I use daily. Wireless is next to godliness. :)

Before the iPhone, I also used Bluetooth to sync my phone.

I use my BT keyboard as a remote for my mac pro for controlling front row. I also use it for recording in logic so I can mic my drumset across the room and conrol the daw via keyboard shortcuts.

basically, I could live without Bluetooth but I wouldn't want to.

Aren't that common? You may want to check again. Just because a particular manufacturer doesn't make a particular device the way we like, there are still a great number of Bluetooth devices in use, as you can see in this thread. There are hundreds of mice, keyboards, headsets, microphones, cameras, cell phones and a host of other devices that all use Bluetooth technology. Just because you may not take advantage of a technology, doesn't mean it's not popular or useful, even vital, to millions of others.

oh, sorry i was talking about the availability of bluetooth in New Zealand. Finding a Bluetooth device at a computer store here. It's difficult since Bluetooth mice, keyboards and phones are not very popular since hey are very expensive...

That's what I like about Apple, you pay a lot but you get everything you could ever need, no nickel and diming.

I could have used an Apple Remote. But for the most part I agree with your statement, you do get a lot.

98% of the time my BT is off. Every now and then I send a file to and or from my phone.
