Hey, I have a kinda stupid question. I haven't read through this whole thread so please forgive me if its already been answered. I will be getting the 3g iPhone and was wondering if when I set the alarm, if I can set it to play a certain song instead of just a beeping sound. Thanks.

You can use any of your ring tones so technically yes, but my purpose for starting the thread was to see if any developers were going to make a specific alarm clock app that could play random songs out of a playlist as the alarm. Judging from the response to the poll the iPhone alarm clock is a very popular feature so I hope someone comes out with an app for this, but then again I didn't really ask if people would like the random music option so maybe that wouldn't be all that popular. I'd make it myself, but I have no idea how to program.

iPhone is an awesome alarm clock. Every night the last thing I do, is to set the alarm time, put it in the dock to charge it and set the ringer volume to maximum.
I also use the sound named "Alarm". It's totally loud, and never fails to wake me(and anyone else in the immediate vicinity). :D

One of the features I like about my current N95 is that when its charging it no longer vibrates with alarm/call/txts. Is that the same for the current iphone? Would not like it vibrating when my alarm goes. Also if its on silent will the alarm still sound? Finally will the alarm go off if iphone is switched off?
