I have come to the conclusion that Patrick J doesn't really want "our opinion" which he originally asked for, he is looking to prove his way is better.

Not at all! As a matter of fact, I have now got a medium full dock

It's a pity this thread went off on a dictionary related tangent.

Like some people recommended, I put 12 of the apps I use most down there; from a productivity point of view it seems to actually be faster than spotlight summoning every single app.
