Does anybody even use portrait mode?

Since I bought my iPad on launch day, I think the only time I ever have used it in portrait mode is for certain games that require it, and I think I used it once when testing my Bluetooth keyboard with the iPad on the dock. I'm just curious how many people actually use it in portrait mode on a regular basis. To me, it just doesn't feel right (although, I'm glad the options there for when it's needed)

Never unless in iBooks. Doesn't feel natural to me either.

Hmm, odd. I find portrait mode to be more natural. I almost never use it in landscape mode unless I am watching a movie. I guess that most of what I use the iPad for is reading books/magazines/websites or writing - I treat it like a book, so portrait mode feels appropriate.

Mostly portrait. Especially in iBooks. I think I just prefer a bit larger page.

I pretty much only use portrait unless its a game that requites landscape or a video.
Especially in iBooks. I cant stand using it in landscape in iBooks.

I'm always in portrait. It's better to read web pages in portrait. I can see more. When I'm playing games is about the only time I use landscape. Portrait is more comfortable to hold.

I use it in portrait 99% of the time. Even when watching YouTube videos I generally can't be bothered to switch it to portrait if it's from a webpage link.

Another one for nearly all the time. Personally, it feels more "natural" in portrait mode than landscape

Only when I come across a retarded app that is not designed to run in landscape.

For me, it depends on the situation. If I'm reading, it's in portrait; if I'm watching video, it's in landscape. Also, when I write down notes (penultimate), it's in portrait. When I use my laptop tray and case with stand, it's used in landscape. That's the beauty of it, you can use it either way.

I read in portrait all the time, I watch videos in landscape and games I play in both depending on game.

Portrait mostly as I'm usually lying down when using it and can rest it on my stomach. The top of the display would be too low down if I used landscape in this position. :D

However, if on a budget airline I'll use landscape as the space to the seat in front is too short.

I always use landscape. I mean ALWAYS. There isn't a single time I use portrait, if I do it feels...weird...

The only time I use it in landscape is watching movies/videos etc, and games or any apps that basically require it. Otherwise it's portrait, probably an 80/20 split of time.

I imagine when multi-tasking kicks in for me I'll prefer portrait even more, as I've found using the home button rather tedious when I am in landscape.

Always use in Portrait Mode other than movies and games that require landscape.

Portrait for pretty much everything, although typing id easier in landscape. I much prefer reading s portrait page because its more like a real book.

I just use mine and enjoy it. I don't sweat these insignificant details.

Probably 90% of the time in landscape mode.

Generally use portrait for some apps that do not have the option to switch.

I generally use Landscape, the text looks crappy on most webpages in Portrait mode.

Oh of course. I'm not sweating any details. A friend just made the comment that I always hold it in landscape, so it just made me wonder how other people held it.

I guess I could see myself using portrait more if I read a lot or used lots of newspaper apps. I primarily do school work on my iPad though, which involves a lot more typing than most people do. I do read iBooks though in landscape mode though.
