I am thinking of updating to IOS 16, but I have been looking through this forum, and see a lot of "this doesn't work", "that is missing", "battery drain", and similar posts. These posts make me wonder if I should just stick with IOS 15.

Those for whom IOS works well... are they a silent majority, or a minority? Can anyone post good experiences with IOS 16?

I think it’s good and have been enjoying it–ran the beta on a 13 Pro all summer, now have the final on a 14 Pro. Never even had the battery drain issue that many others did. (It doesn’t seem like the battery life is as good on the 14 Pro, but that’s probably not iOS 16’s fault—or it is, but it’s the AOD.) My only complaint is that I like to change my lock and Home Screen wallpapers quite a bit, and doing so can be frustrating in iOS 16 if you want the lock and home pics to be different.

I'm running on my XR and generally I love it.

LOVE the haptic keyboard, and I think the new lockscreen looks great - yeah it's a bit convoluted and not intuitive, but the end result looks classy in my opinion.

I didn't have any major issues with iOS 16 on my 13 mini or notice any major issues on my 14 Pro. I don't use the camera in social media apps so didn't experience the camera shake issue. The copy/paste pop up is now fixed in 16.0.2 so I'm happy. My GF has a 11 Pro and not having issues with 16 on her device either.

Looks like there will be more UX tweaks in 16.1 so I'm looking forward to when that releases, like fixing the iMessages report junk menu, setting wallpapers and updated battery percentage indicator.

I like it a lot - especially the new lock screen. There are a couple of annoying issues here and there, but overall I'm not unhappy with the upgrade (I have a 12 mini).

I like it. Works well on my XS Max and 14 pro max. But everyone's experience can be different. You will have to weigh the reality that you may decide to update based on MR forum feedback and absolutely hate it.

People that like to complain make a lot of noise. Except for transferring my data to my new phone my experience with it has been solid. I love the "copy and delete" option they added for sharing images.

I like iOS 16 just fine, find many of the new features welcome, and not having any issues that impede my usage. I feel badly for those that are having issues.

I like it. A little battery drain but only 10-15% of total 100% for same usage time. So just a little….

That was 11pro, but with 13 mini I got 6 hours SOT and 3 hours background for 100% usage yesterday. About the same as iOS 15, maybe a little less on 16 but not much.

No issues on my 13 pro max. I haven’t actually had the time to sit down and play with all the new features yet, but I haven’t lost anything either, so there really wasn’t any reason for me to not update on day 1.

It’s awful. Worst upgrade ever, and I had the original iPhone. Notification center is now horrific. Buttons in Mail app moved around for no good reason other than change for the sake of calling it new. Siri automatically in driving mode won’t understand home automation commands unless phone is unlocked when it did before.

I've been running it this week, and it is okay. I added a few widgets.
Today, my partner asked, "How did you get the clock like that...?"

Update to iOS 16 - LOL

Early days, not appreciating any immediate 'features'
Whilst I enjoy beta's etc, seriously need to experience Kindle reading via 14 Pro.
Spinning Circle, including yesterday's latest version.

I vote 7/10 on iPhone 11 Pro and Battery wear 84%. Battery is slightly worse as sometimes it can drain more than on 15.6.1.
My biggest concern is a touch freezing sometimes. It was told 16.0.2 fixes it - still under investigation, not happened yet.

Overall looks smooth, AdGuard with blocking almost all facebook and amazon ads stuff helps a lot…

Only this wiggle of music widget on Lock Screen is driving me crazy and stupid LockScreen notification system…

I’ve been running the public beta for months, and have had few issues. I liked it on my 13 Pro, and I like it on my 14 Pro.

Probably 60% of my iPhone-owning friends have upgraded now, and only one—with an iPhone 11—has had issues: her battery life is markedly worse. That’s an unfortunately common complaint with older phones getting the newest iOS.

As for how common problems are, this forum will give you a skewed view. Most people don’t report a working phone.

I've had no problems and love it.
Lots of small QOL changes and small improvements. Cheers!
