I guess it comes with the territory of boards that typically people loving their products are off enjoying them and not browsing this forum. But it's so negative here. I love my max. I am also coming from a 3 months hiatus with an Android phone so being back on apple is wonderful.

I love the size ( had an X at launch for 8 months) speed camera and being back on iOS. :)

Yes! Coming from an iphone 8. The screen is amazing. Face ID is ok. It feels blazing fast. The gestures are pretty intuitive.

Love mine, been enjoying it so far. Came from an iPhone 6 (yikes) major improvement. Love the speed, camera, gold color, water resistance, wireless charging, immersive experience etc etc. People who already had last year's X were not meant to upgrade to this phone though.

I’m coming from an iPhone X. The killer features for me to go to the Xs non Max are the 512GB, and dual SIM. I have a lot of music and movies that I like to have on board at all times. I’ve also been in jobs that required another phone. That second SIM could be handy for that )hopefully I won’t be needing it anytime soon) but also helpful for traveling.

I use my iPhone a LOT. It’s basically my primary computer. This really is the perfect phone for me that I have been wanting an iPhone to be.

The size is perfect. I felt the Max was too big for me. It looks incredible, and I think the Max is what people have been wanting in a Plus size X. You guys will love that Max.

The speed bump isn’t significant in regards to interaction, IOS 12 took care of any lag, but it is noticeable on boot, and importing was much faster.

I haven’t had it long enough to judge the battery, but Apple is typically conservative in battery estimates. An extra 30 minutes is always welcome.

Face ID is definitely faster. I also notice it has a little wider of an angle for recognition.

One other thing that I notice and appreciate is CarPlay has been a little zippier. The music also sounds much better than my previous phones. I don’t know why that is, but I am definitely noticing better audio quality.

The camera is also amazing. I don’t know if it was iOS 12 or the new phone, but you can now view all portrait edits real-time, particularly studio.

It’s not the one killer feature with a HUGE reason to upgrade...its all the little things. I’m planning on keeping this phone for at least 2 years. No regrets here.

Picked my XS up yesterday and I’m still setting it up but so far I’m loving it. I’m coming from a 6s though and I haven’t yet put it in my pocket (the point at which the slight increase in size might start to annoy).

So far so good for me! I really can't wait to put the camera through its paces.

And you're right, a lot of negativity in the forums. That's common with any forum about a product or brand, however Macrumors forum is a mess! You'll see around 20 threads with the same topic. Most other forums I frequent the mods would crack down on that.

I have the Xs max gold but I’m seriously considering returning it for a Xs.

I had the x and wanted the bigger screen but I’m having a hard time adjusting to the size. Love the big screen but it’s not as comfortable to hold and use as the smaller form factor. Ugh, first world problems.

I almost wanted to return mine because with a case, it's pretty hard to manage even with my bear paws. But then I realized I have AppleCare + and I'll just take the chance on using it with a skin. Makes it much more manageable.

I’d recommend giving it another week, Apples return policy is 14 days (if that’s where you bought it), you might gets used to it and really enjoy it.

The XS is a great phone. I personally wanted the biggest screen Apple makes but the XS is identical otherwise, of course its nice.

I’m having the same problem. It’s fine if I went caseless, but add a case and it’s too beastly for me lol

After spending 2 days with the XS I decided to keep my X. I had AppleCare+ on my X until November of 2019. So I got a new X from Apple and just kept it.

That’s not to say within the next 12 months I won’t switch back and forth like I have previous years, but as of today 2 days after launch I’m still using my X and not really missing the XS...

I think the only thing that would compel me next year to upgrade, would be the rumored ‘triple lens camera’ and see what it has potential to execute. Otherwise, this phone offers me almost everything that I would want and more, especially with the 6.5 OLED display.

Yeah that’s what’s I’m going to do, going to “test drive” it for the next couple days and I’ll decide then. I will say watching videos on the max are what makes me want to keep it.

I love it. I came from a 6S but my wife and I finally upgraded. This phone is amazing. Blazing fast, great camera and Face ID works perfectly.

Yep, lovin’ it. Went from X to XS something about it, just feels snappier to me. I had the betas on the X, and it’s still smoother to my senses.

I came from the iPhone X. It was an excellent phone that very much enjoyed using. Similarly, iPhone Xs is an excellent phone that, so far, I habe very much enjoyed using.
