No, 6.5" is the maximum they'll go. A phone has to fit into a pocket.

Tell that to Huawei and Xiaomi who already have 6.95” and 6.9” products on the market.

A couple years ago, people thought 5.9” was the largest that would fit in a pocket.

Soon, 6.5” will be the 6.1” of 2018.

Every time I get a bigger phone I feel that way, went from the iPhone 5 to HTC one (4.7”) then nexus 5 (5”) then went to the 6+ (5.5). when the x was released and it has less viewable area in videos I went to the 8+ and now the max. I think this is the first time though where I’m saying to myself this is the largest screen I want.

Does that hopefully mean the 6.5” will soon be at the 6.1” price? :p

I would say so, by late 2020.

The largest Chinese smartphone manufacturers have already moved 6.4" displays to mainstream pricing. Just as Apple launched 6.1" to fight off similar devices that began appearing in the Chinese market last year, it's a matter of time before 6.4" and 6.5" become mainstream.

If they made a bigger phone I’d get that. It’s funny because a few years ago I would have lusted after the thought of a 6.5 inch phone now it seems relatively normal, especially since the note 8 was already 6.4 inches last year.

I love big phones. The only reason why I didn’t get the Samsung Galaxy mega back in the day way because it only had a 720p display so decided to go with the note 3 instead.

I can see Apple making a bigger screen iPhone than the max now if that is what the market research says. I can fit my old iPad mini in my pockets in my slacks and jeans just fine so the new IPad minis could be the new iPhones and people would buy them.

I got the iPhone X last year and got used to the screen just fine but I always thought it was to big for my hands to type one handed comfortably so this year I “upgraded” my line to the iPhone 8. I was really looking at that iPhone SE but the iPhone 8 will be supported longer than the iPhone SE. i just wanted a smaller screen and a one handed phone. Kudos to people who can one hand the iPhone XS Max one handed.

There are plenty of us who can use a plus or max one handed or most who can 2 handed. But an ipad mini one handed. Nah. The only way that happens is foldable.

Apple wont go bigger than a plus size phone give 2mm or so.
